Thanks for the welcome. I live in Tampa, near the airport.

Yes, it is a lot of free food, I am just starting over. My doctor don't want me to lose too much weight at my age. I would be happy with 10 pounds.

This year is ending, and another one on its way. I plan to do things a little differently in 2019. How about you?

FLSUNSHINE1931,
Hello and welcome!
How are you liking the Freestyle Program so far? Personally, I really enjoy the freedom it allows to play around with recipes (such as chili or meatloaf or soups, which I love).
We used to live in Jacksonville when our son was small. Mind if I ask where about in Florida you are located?

Just joined here on Spark, I have been a WW for years, Got my lifetime, but not at my goal weight, they once a Lifetimer, always a Lifetimer. I live in Fla. Was doing the onlne, but found that I just didn't have the time, and meetings are too far away for me to drive as I am probably the oldest one here (87 almost (Aug). :)

I went to the center and got the new program, and just started back on it this week. Hoping to find some support here, and recipes, maybe for one person as I am a Widow.

Yes, that’s correct.
Many people still measure exact measurements of the zero point foods to help with accountability, until they “learn” what reasonable portions look like, as a reminder not to overeat, etc.
Personally, I don’t measure the free foods to exact amounts—but I do attempt to keep it as close as I can while eyeballing it. It’s what works best for me.
Come to think of it, that’s another part of the Freestyle Program—making the program livable for you as an individual, rather than you “living for the program”.

Ok so if I understand your explanation correctly - if I'm eating a "Zero Point" food, measure it just like I would if it was not "zero points" example - it a serving is 1/2 or 2/3 cup - just have that amount - not 1 cup? Is that accurate?

Hello and welcome!
Limit the zero means even though some foods are zero points, limit them still to one reasonable serving, rather than eating them haphazardly in multiple portions (or until you’re stuffed, for instance).
The Freestyle Program is about not having to precisely weigh and measure those zero point foods, while at the same time being mindful of your body’s signals and of emotions while eating.

I finally figured out how to reply here lol.

I'm doing Freestyle, but with limits.
Since beans and corn and fruit can be pretty calorie dense, I limit the "zero" to one serving, and count more than that.
The only "zero" foods I don't do that way are chicken breast and turkey breast. Those I only count over 6oz servings.

Hi - Nice to meet everyone -

I've been a W/W for many years - have followed every plan they've come out with - The last few I've had a problem with - I don't seem to release the lbs that I want and need to. I have spent $$ for going to meetings - doing it online and yet the scale doesn't go south it stays where it is and bounces back and forth between 2lbs. I don't like the way I feel or look.

Which plan are people on this team following? The Freestyle or something else...???

thanks Have a great day..
