Welcome! That article has annoyed a lot of us here. I've taken on SP and this position a few times, posted rebuttals, etc. I guess the best we can do is band together here and read those labels! I get little Simply Heinz ketchup packs from Whole Foods, free by the salt and pepper, straws and napkins, and I keep a few in my purse for those occasions where I want french fries.

Glad I found you guys - new to SP and the first thing I found when searching for HFCS here was that awful dietician article saying it was ok! Pretty disappointed seeing that.

Anyway, started my quest to do away with the HFCS about six months ago and now that I've cut it entirely realize how much better I feel. I've become an obsessive label reader at the grocery store. Finding whole wheat bread with no HFCS AND no artifiicial sweetener is sometimes tough. Seems like they are now slipping sucralose in everything from bread to salad dressing (Splenda) and I react to it. But that's a whole other topic. Wish I had a Trader Joe's nearby - I stock up every time I'm near one. emoticon
