emoticon BettyJoH2 - I have difficult times with many of the foods that you mentioned. I often wish that I could be like those that do not have these issues. I also have IBD.

I am 87 year old vegetarian. I have had IBD for last few years. I am trying to follow the Low Fodmap diet. Is hard for a veggie not to eat beans, but can have Soy so this helps. Big problem with wheat and some dairy. Lots of veggies are off limits such as cabbage, cauliflower but can have small portion of broccoli and there are many more to choose from. Good luck.

Hi everyone!

I've recently started following the low-FODMAP diet in an attempt to control my IBS symptoms and have decided to use Sparkpeople again to try to keep track of my eating habits and nutrition levels. I've used Sparkpeople in the past, but this is the first time that I've taken advantage of SparkTeams or community forums, so I'm hoping the lifestyle change will stick this time!
