HI my name is Pammy... im 50 yrs old. I am married and now have 5 granddaughters. I have been on Sparkpeople several times. This time I want to make it the last time with a winning outcome. I love food and know I have to make a lifestyle change.I have read the Spark book but think I will reread it again to get myself going. I have alot of weight to lose and trying not to focus on how much but on one day at a time.

I am looking forward to working on our journeys together and getting to know each of you!

I'm Cathy and it's time to get back on track before this weight gain gets any worse! After losing a total of 60 lbs between 2004-2008, I am back up by half of that! I joined SP around 2007 to help me reach my goal (and succeeded!), but after an injury and a big life change (cross-country move), I just couldn't keep up with tracking everything. With no accountability, I let myself slide backwards. I made a new SP profile in 2009 and only used it about three weeks total until now. I have revamped it and am ready for more! I have set myself up to succeed this time!! I need to be part of active groups in order to do this! Hope to hear from several of you and we can encourage one another!

I live an abundant life!

Hello, My name is Gina. I am soon to be 38. I originally joined SP back in 2008. Between 08 and 09, I lost 60 pounds. Then I quit, and came back and forth several times since then with little success. I am overwhelmed by the amount of weight that I have to loose. At first, It was a mental battle within myself. Now I have gained so much weight that it has effected me physically as well.

Hello! My name is Taylor, I joined spark about a year ago, and I've just been overwhelmed by the 1) number of people 2)number of things to do/read/track on this website. I know how it all works now, and I'm coming back with the intention of starting slow, and going slowly.

I'm currently on the DrBernstein diet, but I don't have much more weight to lose. What I hope to achieve by Christmas (and continue for my lifetime) is a more toned body, and a greater understanding of what makes me 'tick' when it comes to healthy choices, and self control.

Hello, my name is Lonna. I am 41 years old and need to get back on the wagon! I started my weight loss journey back in 2006 and lost a total of 86.25 pounds and have been able to maintain that loss for almost 2.5 years now! Since turning 41 I have noticed that the scale is creeping up...now it's not just the age but I have lost all motivation to exercise and have not been watching what I eat. I have slipped back into old habits and desperately do not not want to gain the weight back! I need to get my spark back before it's too late! I'm hoping that this is just the group I need to kick me in the seat of the pants and help me stay accountable.

Hey everyone! My name is Rachel and I'm 25 years old. I started this site I think in 2007 and lost 35lbs! Four years later I gained it all back plus 7 more pounds! When I first meet my amazing boyfriend he had the most horrible diet and terrible eating habits. Although I didn't lower myself to his exact eating levels I just let loose and put it out of sit out of mind. I was devastated when I stepped on the scale and saw the numbers were much different than what I thought I was, but I knew that I had to take responsibility and move forward-insert my 2011 New Years resolution! I was back on track and doing great!

My sweetheart and I had gotten lift tickets at a close by ski hill for SUPER cheap. I only skied one other time but with my new found motivation I was super excited for an amazing ALL DAY work out. Long story short I had a terrible fall and didn't walk for a little over 3 weeks after I fell. I completely destroyed my ACL ligament, torn my MCL ligament, and ruffed up my Meniscus. I had major knee surgery (new territory to me) to repair what I tore and get a brand spanking new ACL ligament. I'm glad to say I didn't gain any weight, but I didn't loose any either. I was so happy to start physical therapy because I was so motivated and excited to get back on track.

I am still dealing with my injury, but I try to do what I can at the gym or at home. Like everyone else on this site I know what it's like to fall off the sparkpeople wagon. I am a emotional eater, with a injury, recently quit smoker, who is addicted to SUGAR!

I'm so excited for all of us to hit every goal on spark and in our lives!

Hi all. I joined Spark in 2009 and lost 40 lbs. over six months. I spent most of 2010 maintaining gaining about 7 lbs. back, but in the last few months I've gained another 10 lbs. Not willing to regain half of what I initially lost, I'm back with Sparkpeople.

I found I was making a lot of excuses in the last few months and making some really poor decisions regarding the types of food I was eating. I needed some motivation and I hope I've found it. I am looking forward to finishing what I first began. I would like to lose a total of 45 lbs, the 17 I gained over the past year and a half and make it all the way to my "ideal" weight.

Hi ! My name is Amy and I've been on SP since 2005 or 2006. I lost 27 lbs. easily when I first started, then I got a tumor in my breast, had a mastectomy, gained all the weight back, and my metabolism stopped. The good news is I'm cancer-free. My weight-loss efforts have been useless. I exercise at least 30 minutes most days, and even when I was counting calories faithfully, I was't losing, so I stopped. But I really, really want to lose that weight again, so I can feel better about myself, and wear all those clothes in my closet. I have been reading this team's posts for a few days, and decided that the best thing to do was just join !

Hi my name is Becky and I have lost track of my weight loss goals. I have lost motivation and just feel like not doing anything. I was at 160 a year ago and now tipping the scale at 190. No motivation what so ever.

Hi! I lost 35 pounds with SP in 2006/2007 and was able to maintain the weight loss for about two years. However, over the past two years I have been slowly gaining and have gained 20 of the pounds back.

I have been re-sparked for about 3 weeks now and have lost 1.5 pounds. It is not much, but it is progress in the right direction which better than before.

I look forward to meet some new spark friends that have been re-energized!!

Let's do this!

Hi my name is Linda. I joined SP last year and lost 10 pounds. I got off track during the holidays and had a difficult time getting back in the right mind set. In the meantime, I gained 15 pounds. sighhh...

I have been back on SP for the last week or so and am looking for inspiration. The name of this team drew me in, and I look forward to getting to know everybody and work towards my goals.

Hello all,

I'm Lisa and I've started over 2 time so far. Now I'm kinda stuck and and I don't want to start over again. I was looking around at the different teams and found this group.

I'm like Suzie right now and gain and lose the same 5 +/- pounds no matter how much I do or don't during a given day/week.

Thanks for having me. Maybe this is part of the solution beside just me.

Hi, I'm Suzie. I did really well last year and dropped 30 pounds. But I cut back too far on calories and had health problems with dry hair and skin, hair falling out and loose teeth! So I have lost another 5 this year, but I just yo-yo up and down 3 pounds now.

I think it is time to Relight the Spark! This team looks like it will help me. Glad to be with you on this fresh start to losing.

Hello, everyone! I'm CJ. I was doing really well at the start of the year, then let all sorts of stuff (horrid allergies, the oppressive heat, illness, injury, work) get in the way of my health. Time to get back to it so I feel better.

I'm looking forward to getting to know new people!

Hi. I'm glad I found this!! I did fantastic last year from January to October, then fell off the wagon hard. I've logged in here and there, but haven't tracked anything. And I'm not happy with what I'm seeing. Hopefully this will put me back on the track I need to be on! I'm looking forward to meeting everyone :)

Hello everyone. My name is Karen and I am a 49 year old single mother of 2, a 18 year old son with high functioning autism and 7 year old daughter who has epilepsy. In addition to their needs, I became derailed this past winter when I developed whooping cough and was told that I could not exercise (not that I could if I wanted too). I had only joined a few months earlier. I was pleased to find this challenge so that I can recommit to this journey on my goal to get healthy and eventually lose 60 pounds. Wishing everyone else a fruitful journey too!

Hi everyone. I'm Tammi. I originally joined SP back in 2008 and lost over 30 pounds with the help of this website. Unfortunately, I got off track, left and gained it all and then some back. I am now back and am totally committed to getting into the best shape of my life. I think this team is exactly what I need to help me reach my goals!

Hello Everyone
I am grateful to be back and part of a new team. I was feeling pretty good last year, with my fitness efforts, weight loss, and overall sense of taking care of myself. I am committed to doing this again. Way too much snacking.... and mindless eating. I am 61, and during the wonderful Michigan summers, I hike, bike and kayak. My wife is seriously ill and requires lots of help and TLC which I am privileged and blessed to be able to help her with, and I tend to keep pretty busy with work as well. But I realize I am not helpful to anyone if I don't take care of myself. So I am back. Thanks for reading.

Let's see.. I'm 41, I have 2 amazing kids who are my life.I have always struggled with keeping weight off. I had lost 60 pounds but then I was diagnosed with MS back in 2006 and after various meds I gained it all back plus another 25. After getting divorced almost 2 yrs ago I have lost about 28 lbs but still have so much more to go. I got discouraged for a bit but now I'm back and feeling positive about being able to do this.

Do not let what you cannot do interfere with what you can do.

I'm real happy to find this group. I started in Feb 2010 and lost 25 pounds in the fist 7 months, then (and I see now I'm not alone) I've been fighting with going up and down with the last 10 lost. I stayed pretty accountable as long as I had a computer handy, but in January of 2011 I moved and am just now getting back on line. I have no more excuses. I've got a new car as well so therefore my lies about not being able to get to the gym don't fly either. The bottom line is I am too darn old to weigh what I weigh and if I don't do something now I'm fixin to turn into some giant potato or pumpkin or something. I want to be around for my children and my grandson. Soooo Here I be. Back in the saddle so to speak, and needin some other supporters on my team so I don't loose my ever-lovin mind again. emoticon

This is my year :)

Hi all! I'm Michelle and I've belonged to Sparks for a number of years. Last year depression, anxiety and stress took its toll on my motivation. But, I'm treating that, so I am back to get refocused and back on track.
I've started bicycling again....for the first time in 20 years....so hopefully between hiking, biking and kayaking, I can stay on the active track and with Spark help get the eating reined in again....

Don't let my weight loss ticker fool you, I have a long way to go. But, I have to break it into doable chunks...its all about staying ENCOURAGED, not DISCOURAGED.

Hi everyone! I'm Kim and I joined Spark in late 2010 and have had a hard time sticking to things, despite how much I want to. I have the all or nothing problem and feel like if I'm not eating well, I've lost all hope and don't even work out. It's gotten very frustrating and I am desperately wanting to get back on track to living a healthier life. I'm not terribly overweight, but I do, absolutely, need to watch what I eat and make much better choices.

I know I will need all the help I can get to get going again. Looking forward to meeting new people and hopefully getting this wagon going again......

Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes it's the quiet voice at the end of the day saying 'I will try again tomorrow.'

Hi, I'm Caroline. I joined last year, but after starting with lots of enthusiasm, it all just kind of wore off! I struggled to lose anything and it made it so hard to keep going.
But I've got my enthusiasm and determination back and I want to give this another go, so that I can live a healthier life.

Hello, everyone! My name is Kim and I joined the Sparks community way back in 2007 I believe. I faithfully logged in every day and enjoyed seeing weight loss results. Well, over time, I sort of fell of the wagon and started logging on less and less until I wasn't even coming on the site. My weight has stayed somewhat the same - give or take a few pounds, but I need to get back on track and lose weight for the sake of my knees, especially my right one which was recently diagnosed with osteoarthritis. It's difficult to be the same exercise person I was (working out with Walk It Out on the Wii 7 days a week/1 hour a day). I need to take control of my habits and start walking to help me both lose the weight and to help out my knee pain.

Looking forward to being a part of the SparkPeople community again and to meeting all of you on the boards!

Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars.

Hi I'm Shirls, back for another go. Had a few issues that interrupted my participation, like two house breaking incidents in the last couple of months in which my laptop was stolen and getting told I HAVE to retire. All of which were somewhat traumatic, especially seeing the burglars arm come through the window and after 37 years in the same job!
But as the saying goes, get bitter or get better and I'm choosing the latter and getting to happy. Thanks to Terry Macmillan whose amazing book "Getting to Happy" has totally inspired me.

Hello, my name is Jennifer, I'm currently in SE Kansas. I've been on and off diets for years now, most recently I gained 35 lbs last year due to many things, mostly myself. I start out good, but just slide back into old, bad habits too easily. Sweets are definitly my weakness. But, I am definitly healthier today than I was when I started trying to get into shape, so kudos to me for that! So, here I am again to relearn good habits and drop the bad!
