The link proovided by AAA, has lots of good info about hiking Chimney Rock. I am looking for more hiking info from AAA and will share when I find it.

The kids have been out hiking the Colorado Trail. They sent pictures from Kenosha Pass that are just stunning. I am looking into planning a trip for my DH and I this summer. emoticon

....hiking behind Chatauqua in Boulder. You can go right to the very top of one of the Flat Irons! And there are easier hikes as well.

Here in the Durango area we have an abundance of great trails. Some of my favorites near town (actually the outskirts of town) are Horse Gulch and Twin Buttes. Further up the mountains are Cascade Creek, Engineer, Upper Lime Creek drainage and part of the Colorado Trail starting at Little Molas.

Living in Golden I like to do Chimney Gulch after work - really close to home! It is about 7 miles from downtown Mount Zion to Viewing Gultch Spot on Lookout Mountain.
