We all struggle from time to time. If it is a daily thing for some of us, I think its ok to take a step back, slow down and take the pressure off of what we are trying to achieve. Only our HP will guide us in the direction we need to be weight wise, life wise. Lets give our HP a chance to take over. We just pray and turn it over as our HP wants us to enjoy life......not punish ourselves. Punishing is a form of control.

WILDLIFEMOM1 I feel your pain....I start out everyday so positive and feeling sure today is the day I'll be making better choices, and before I know it I'm lying in bed at night wondering how and why I self destructed again. It's groundhog day I know, but the lesson of that movie is that we can change if we really want to and we have patience with ourselves. I believe we can do this!

We are in this with you. I struggle daily, the guilt, the frustration. It takes more than willpower. Each morning I have such hope and yet I continue to fail and give in. Not everyday, but enough that it is still a draw. we can beat it together :-) emoticon

Hello Writer425. Spark can be a little overwhelming with all of the tools is has. I have come and gone from it so much, and each time I do, it has changed, but fortunately, it's only because they have added new things to make it more fun! I have recommitted myself this year, starting the day after Christmas. I am a food addict. I have Binge-eating disorder. I hate it. It loves me. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

So you don't get too overwhelmed, at the start, track your food and come back every day. Only start venturing out to new things on the site when you feel ready. Most importantly, don't give up!! That is what I am working on. This is the longest I have stuck with it yet!

Hi, new to this and Sparkpeople and trying to figure things out. I've spent a lifetime losing and gaining it all back. Health has been gradually slipping over the years and I've had my wakeup call. Where there is life, there is hope. So I will keep trying. I appreciate what everyone here is dealing with.
