Welcome back A-NEW-JAN! It is always exciting to see new faces (names) on the team! May I suggest you check out Reinhard's podcasts on the No-S website. I found them so helpful, inspiring and entertaining! Glad you are back!

NoS is the only plan I have been able to follow and stick with for an extended period. Of course like any eating plan, you actually have to DO IT. I admit I don't always follow NoS, but it has helped me enormously. I need to work a bit on portion control in addition to the NoS basics (if I snack or eat sweets, I don't succeed!)

NOW I remember you!

Jan, it really is worth it. I admit I"m having some tough adjustments to year 5, but that's all they are. It really can take us through SO much, especially when we remember millions of other people in other cultures live this way through all kinds of problems. Of course, it's easier when the environment supports it. The places where our snacking/processed food culture is invading always start experiencing our problems, too.

We have to be our own culture! Sad, but true.

Please remember you don't have to eat diet meals to start! Make it easy on yourself.

If you need any help with the original site, maybe I can help. I found it integral, though it has slowed down a lot. But even back then, reading old stuff helped me.

I joined this team back in 2010 (my screen name was JANC319). I was even the team leader for a while.
Life happened - work got more sressful, several family members were sick, etc. but, today, I am back.
Here is my original introduction from 12/23/2010. It still says it all!

I stumbled across the No S Diet after reading a post someplace here on SP and I found the No S website. Navigation of the site is a bit confusing, but the basics just seem to make perfect sense.
Like others, I can't remember the last time I wasn't on a diet. I found myself actually searching out the diets that let me snack all day and "eat all you want".
When I think back oh so many years ago to when I was thin, I rarely snacked, and dessert was always for Sunday dinner and holidays - never a every night affair.
emoticon and that's exactly what it feels like - having an affair with sweets and junk food!

I'm glad I found this team and I'm giving this the 21 day trial. Any hints for a new comer?
Wish me luck!
