Welcome!
Been at No S nearly 6 years. It takes time to get the meal habit down and then to eventually keep realizing you need less food than you think. There is no need to start with teeny meals or too much restriction. You can adjust as you go. It really takes most successful dieters a couple of years to work a lot of this out. Not accepting that leads to a lot of giving up way too soon.

I was in the low obese range when I started and had eaten a lot of sweets most days for decades, though I had been mostly just overweight. My S days were wild for a LONG time, mostly because I still didn't want to give it up! But I saw the value of having none on N days and never want to go back to sweets more often. I don't even have them every weekend now.

I love our mighty little team, but I wouldn't have made it without a LOT of browsing (and posting, though there was more activity back when) on the original site. Don't feel like a traitor to use it. everydaysystems.com/bb/viewforum.php

Welcome Tessie! Yes, I'll take a free hug, thank you! I'm fairly new to No S also but I've read the book and have been working the plan for a couple of weeks. I think it makes great sense and I am hoping that by combining this plan with healthy foods I will soon be seeing results.

Hi. I was looking through teams, and saw this one. I read up on the NoS way of eating, and it makes so much sense. I have a tendency to way overthink things, and this is so simple and straightforward. I am a sugar "addict", if there is such a thing, and I have snacked and sugared my way to 100 excess pounds. It will be nice to have some friends to help me succeed. Thanks.
