Welcome to the team Paula! Great to have you here.

I just in the past 30 days tried a Leptin type diet ... interesting and learned a lot. Like everything I do I take away what seems to apply for me and adapt to other complimentary efforts ... I guess one could say I have an 'eclectic' eating plan - ha! All of it based on healthy whole food eating though!

I really LOVE No S ... it took time to fall in love though - ha!

Look forward to getting to know you better!

Like you Paula, I've had several vision boards over the years.
One is just Spark that's getting messy but it reminds me to keep moving forward year after year!

emoticon for the welcome Lyn. Its great to be part of this awesome team and Thanks Phyliss for you lovely comment about my vision board. I have had many over the years.

They really do work. I've had one wishing to go on a cruise and I did just that last year went on 3 cruises actually in one year. one 16 night one with my mother but lucky for me it was her shout, a 13 night one with my husband and my mother and a 2 night one as a trial. All were awesome.

I also had one where I wanted a new car one that i did not have to pay for. I was hoping to win one lol 1 year later my Dad surprised me for Christmas with a brand new Honda Jazz at no cost to me. I was so lucky!

So vision boards definitely do work. Who else in the team has a vision board? emoticon

It will be sort of easy for me in that I follow along with the leptin rules of eating by Bryon Richards. But where I go wrong is wanting biscuits at night mainly after I have eaten my dinner. This will help stop that, I am sure. I will make sure though that I eat some fruit with dinner just one piece that should help with that and if the fruit is on the dinner plate I guess it's still only one plate of food.

I will be more acurate also to measure out the correct portion sizes which I have been a little slack with lately. That will be much easier time wise for me now that I am not going to be tracking food in the spark nutrition tracker anymore.

I know it's all about calories in / calories out and agree with you No S can't defy the laws of chemistry but certainly, it will make this lifestyle change much more fun and easier to stick to for the long haul.

Can't wait for the book to arrive in the mail now.

anyhow it's 11pm here so I'm off to bed good night all. emoticon

No S can't defy the laws of chemistry. You'll still have to eat less in the long run. But it sure is a more fun way to get there than most diets! I didn't start it to lose, even though I was in the low obese range, but just to reduce bingeing. Nearly 7 years later, still at it, with some experimentation for digestive issues unrelated. And I have lost about 20+ of my weight,

Seven years of maintaining a 20% weightloss and counting.

Hello, I am Paula a 50 year old married mother of two. Jake 22 and Sarah 21.

Currently weight in at 59.5 kilo's I aim to maintain at 52 kilo's.

I just signed up to Spark Premium to help keep me on track and motivated even more to stick to my goals and get down to 52 kilo's and maintain at that.

I know I am not obese by any means but still for me I have too much weight on for my hips to carry around.

I have slight hip osteoarthritis in both hips. Doctors and specialists told me a few years ago I would need to have 2 hip replacements which I refused to have, or at least put off as long as possible. I am doing things naturally, fixing my diet, weight loss and the like.

I also have Scoliosis in my back have had it since I was a teenager. I wore a back brace then for 2 years which prevented it getting any worse.

My issues make exercising very difficult. So am unable to do much of that other than normal stuff like housework, gardening when I am able.

I try to eat healthy and organically where possible and avoid all preservatives and additives and processed food where and when I can. Plus I am wheat free not Gluten free & trust me when I tell you there is a difference between the two because there is.

I Drink reverse osmosis water from my water filter. Use Australian made and owned cleaning products that are non toxic and without any harsh chemicals.

I have interests in candles, reading, feng shui, computers, positive thinking, spirituality, new age thinking, Leptin Diet, Eat right for your type diet, soccer and gardening & beginning Sewing / quilting to name a few.

I believe it not a diet but a healthy lifestyle for the long haul.

I was on SparkPeople a while ago under another username and closed that account fully so I could start completely fresh. Not worried about losing those spark friends or spark points. The friends I had I really wanted to keep are my friends on Facebook now. It is no offence to those people who were my friends on here they are awesome people they really are. But I decided I had to make a stand and this time really do something about getting my weight loss and healthy lifestyle under control once and for all.

I have always had a vision board for many years now here is a picture of my current one:

Sorry this picture came out wrong. It was the right way when I added it no need to rotate it. But once added it is wrong and I don't know how to rotate it. but it should still give you some idea of what my vision board looks like, I will be changing it a bit to take out the food tracking and will add something in it's place.

I joined the team as I follow The Leptin Diet and loosely follow the "Eat right for your type" diet. Also I am sick of counting calories and tracking food. This is not something I feel is sustainable for the long haul.

As this is a healthy lifestyle not a diet I believe the "No S Diet" will be awesome for me and work in well with my other ways of eating etc...

I have ordered the book off Amazon so waiting for that to arrive now.

I'm from Brisbane Queensland Australia.

Good luck everyone in reaching all your goals weight loss and others.

Keep smiling,

Paula emoticon
