Hi - I've been diagnosed about 15 years now. FYI - if you stay off all wheat/gluten before your appointment, the blood test they run will not reflect your true state, so it is advisable to eat as close to your former diet as possible. Congrats on gaining an appointment with a dr. trained in gluten management.

Keep asking questions and stay the course. These ladies have some very helpful links for you.

Hi, After the elimination of foods containing wheat and reintroduction of the same, I have concluded that I have a wheat intolerance. . I have an appointment to see a specialist from the Mayo clinic who practices over in Ft Meyers I can't wait to see her. I am currently undergoing a lifestyle change to cope with this allergy. It is daunting at times and of the three weeks that I have been trying to stay gluten free I have faltered a few times, which is not good because my symptoms come back within an hour after doing so. Any support and/or advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks flkeyesgirl
