Welcome to the team. It is harder when you get up in age but is nt all lost. It just takes a little longer to reach the goals, but it pays off

Keep on track

Hello, Hazel! I'm Mary, and I'm another "golden girl." I'm glad you're here.

"...there's some good in this world, Mr. Frodo, and it's worth fighting for."

"We're children of a fighting race that never yet has known disgrace." (The Soldiers' Song, Irish national anthem)

"Every day above ground is a good day." (Chef Justin Kennedy of New Orleans, on Chopped)

Hi - my name is Hazel. I have been fighting the good fight most of my life but now that I am a senior, I am most relaxed about the whole thing and its not so much now, how good I look but how good I feel. I have enjoyed being part of the Spark People Site and would love to chat now and again with other seniors who are struggling as well. I began at 232.5 a few years ago and this morning am 193.5 so I am thankful for the 49 lb loss but know I need to get down much lower and with your encouragement and God's help, I know I can do it! A blog I just read mentioned that one of the members has learned to say "no thank you". Good thought to remember that those words can be a winning statement rather than a "poor deprived me" one. With Christmas coming and the goose is getting fat, I know if I don't remember "no thank you" so shall I.
Blessings to you all. Have a wonderful and blessed Christmas.
