Thank you sooo much! I was a full time 4K teacher while pregnant with the twins. My water broke at just 26 weeks and it was truly scary. I spent 5 weeks on hospital bed rest before they were born and then spent almost another 5 weeks with them in the NICU. Through this process I truly realized what was important...my family! I took a leave of absence through the end of the year and then resigned. But I loved the school district I taught in and I love teaching. While I was doing the grocery shopping, kid shopping, etc. I started to feel guilty that I was spending money and not helping at all! I joined Thirty-One as an Independent Consultant and love it and am having great success. But I still wanted to teach. So I am subbing in the district I used to teach in! They were surprised and welcomed me back with open arms! It was an amazing feeling! I am glad to know that it took you until your twins were 4 to lose the weight!

Welcome back! I noticed in yesterday's blog that you mentioned you were at a sub orientation - WOW!! So in addition to being a mom of young twins (and nursing them!), you're working as well! Just surviving the first year of twins was about all I could handle back in the day.

Give yourself some time and credit - the fact that you're already aware of calories and portion control is way beyond most people's understanding. I wasn't able to start losing my weight that I put on while pregnant with twins (and the pounds I gained while breastfeeding, too) until my twins were 4 years old.

I like your idea of blogging your successes and look forward to reading more :)

Hang in there!!!!

PS - I'm a sub, too :) I used to teach full-time, but quit once the twins were born. Now that my twins are in 2nd grade, I sub a few days per week at their school.

Hello

I am backkk! My name is Nicki. I am 27, married, and have 8 month old twins.

I have been on Sparks People in the past and loved it. After having my twins, I am struggling very badly! I weigh more now then when I was pregnant with them. I am breastfeeding both of them and gaining weight!!! How does that even happen?!?!

I NEED to do something about myself and NOW. I could use all the advice, motivation, and accountability I can have!
