Hi everyone! I'm judy from arkansas. I'm 43 years old and have 3 kids and 2 grandkids. I need to lose about 100 pounds. I got a fitbit a few days ago and I LOVE IT!! So far I have walked far more than I did before fitbit and I have also added some strength training so I think fitbit has given me incentive! emoticon

Hi guys! My name is Nicole, and I'm 25. I've been a member of SparkPeople for quite some time now, and am excited to announce that I finally splurged and got a Fitbit One!! It arrived yesterday in the mail and I set it up last night, and today will be my first full day wearing it.

Still getting used to it, but so far, I love it! Feel free to add me as a friend, on SparkPeople or in the FitBit community. Still trying to figure out the whole profile/dashboard but I'll get there.

Good luck to everyone else enjoying their Fitbit!

I'm Caroline, 33 and Single Mom to 6... I've had my FitBit One for about 2 days... I use it primarily for steps and sleep tracking... I tried their food tracker but like the one here better... I wish they would expand their mobile options... I really enjoy having Spark People on my computer as well as every where I go on my smart phone... THANK YOU! Spark People!!!

Hi, My name is Mary Beth and I'm a 46 yr old mom that has decided that roller derby is my new passion. I have had my fitbit for almost two weeks and I LOVE that it keeps me accountable and makes me take those extra steps each day. I need to build endurance and with the fit bit tracking the important numbers for me during the day I can make sure that I am gradually building my level as I increase my steps. I hope to one day have it tracking the miles I RUN instead of walk.

Hello. I started on SparkPeople and FitBit and MyFitnessPal last year almost this time. After the summer I fell away. Needless to say, I am back to where I started. I am from the Cleveland, Ohio, area Mother of 4, Grandmother of 3 boys.

I have just realized that FitBit and SparkPeople can sync together. It seems that I have to input my food into this site and upload / sync to FitBit :( Does it work the other way around? I find it tedious to input food into this site and I already use MyFitnessPal to sync to my FitBit site.

If anyone knows, please contact me.

I am glad to be getting back into shape again.

I know I can, I know I can .....

Hi, I have used my fitbit zip since Feb 11 and I love it. I haven't reach the 10,000 steps...yet. I live in Southern Ohio and the weather has just been to bad to get outside. I am in my mid fifties and am interested in being and staying healthy. It's good to meet all of you.

I ordered the FitBit One yesterday & when I clicked to link the FitBit to SP, I discovered this team. I'm really looking forward to received it & getting started. Thanks to all of you because there is a lot of good information on this team's threads.

Hello everyone! I'm Amy, a 29 yr old single mom in Kentucky. After having 2 kids, I've had a hard time getting the weight off but I'm really determined now. I've been sparking for about 9-10 months now and it has helped me so much. I'm down almost 100 lbs since having my daughter last February but it seems to be getting harder and I did not do very well over the holiday season. I got a fitbit last week to help get me back on track. So far I love it and it's already helping by fueling that competive nature of mine!

Hi I'm Diana from Indiana and have been on Sparkpeople for a couple of years. I lose some weight, and then it comes back! I have a different game plan this time and a renewed desire to make this a lifetime change once and for all. I am hoping the fitbit will help me along. I have been looking into different devices like this for a month or so, and think the zip will be just perfect for me. I just got it today, and am very excited to start using it! emoticon

HI all,

I've been using sparkpeople for a long time but just received my FitBit for Valentines day from the Dh. I love that it's integrated with SparkPeople so I don't have to worry about entering my calories. I've started parking further from the doors just so I can see those steps increase. I'm super excited about this tool and using it in my daily life to be a fitter person.

Hi Everyone... Ny name is Heather. I have had my FitBit for over a year now so I don't have the new one. But I was still able to sync my accounts so will see how that goes. I was on SparkPeople several years ago. Left... Tried some different things. And now I am back.

Hi everyone and welcome to the team. I've been on here since the first part of January, when I got my fitbit zip as a gift on January 3rd. It helped me increase my steps lot and has been so much fun. But I decided I wanted to upgrade to the fitbit One so that I could monitor my sleep an also get the climbing floors feature. I don't have stairs to climb, and in the small rural town I live in there are only a few public 2 story buildings. But it is a very hilly area and there are hills everywhere in town and out. And I also love to hike in the mountains around me. On Saturday I used my One for the first day and went out for a long walk and got 61 floors in. Yesterday was snowing and wind blowing so I didn't get to do that. But I look forward to seeing how many floors I climb around here on walks and hikes I do frequently. Hope you all enjoy yours as much as I do mine!

Hi "New Friends",

I have been a fitbit user since June 2012, and I LOVE it. I just started here on SP and hope this site can bring me home to my goal!!! I have only 28 lbs to go but I am finding that this stretch is the hardest and slowest. I felt like I needed something new to re-motivate me as the slowing of my pounds is starting to bother me.. I look for to hearing from my "new friends" to spark a new fire under my smaller (but still not quite where I want it to be) butt!!!

Have a great week emoticon

Hi everyone. I got my FitBit One to monitor my sleep at first and find that it is really helpful not only for that, but for everything. I misplaced it one day and I really missed it. I will be looking forward to getting the bracelet FitBit when it comes out. I know a lot of people will probably upgrade to it.
I have had mine since end of January and although I'm not losing a lot of weight; it is making me more conscious to making better decisions for food, and exercise.

I got my fitbit one on the 9th of January and boy is it working for me. I love that it takes my exercise and sleep and enters it on SP. Less for me to enter. I also joined the 13/13/13 challange on the 1st of January and it has helped me tremendously toward that. Usually I sit around in January and February waiting for winter to be over but not this year. I have met my goals almost every day and have lost 12 pounds so far this year. I credit fitbit for that. Can't wait till spring so I can use it on walks at our summer place.

Good morning! I am so thrilled with my Fitbit One - I ordered it from Amazon - received in 2 days - such an easy set-up and link to SP. I love it! Just couldn't figure out though how I had burned 405 calories just by waking up - after reading FAQ on Fitbit site (I thought it was defective) I now understand how it tracks calories. I was so surprised with the size of the One - so much info in a tiny package. Also love that it resets itself every night. Love, love, love it! Got to go move now......Fitbit told me to Move It this morning!

Hello! I didn't realize I joined a SPARK team for FitBit but it's just as well and I am happy to have serendipitously found you. Am hoping there's lots of good tech support on here because I track on SPARK and want both food and exercise to go to my Fitbit. Food is going but the exercise isn't. Any ideas?

Am going to try FitBit and also ordered the BodyMedia Fit and will compare them and keep one. What I want it to be able to see how much of a calorie deficit I really need to lose a pound as I know it's not 3500! Please feel free to comment on my page or email me.

Hi!! My husband got me a FitBit one for Valentine's Day. He had to order it and it just arrived this afternoon. I am so excited!! It seems much more accurate than all my other pedometers and I love that it can differentiate between stairs and regular walking. I am psyched that it syncs up to Sparkpeople, too!

Hello Team,

I've had my Fitbit One about a month now and it has really inspired me to move a lot more. I pace or march in place while I watch tv, talk on the phone or even brush my teeth. My house has 3 levels so I try to get in at least 25 floors each day - I even earned my helicopter badge last week.

Hi! Just joined Sparkpeople about a week ago and still looking around or lurking. I have had my fit for sometime now (can't wait for the new bracelet thingy) and love it. I had quit walking for a well and am now trying to get back to 10,000 steps. Last year at this time I was at 15,000 but a hot summer and some cold weather and I lapsed. Hope to get to know you all and I need to get out for my walk.

For the life of me I can't remember if I took the time to introduce myself when I joined this forum in December. I am truly addicted to my Fitbit. I thought I lost my Fitbit Ultra in the dentist's office in December so ordered a One the same night because I couldn't stand the thought of not having a Fitbit on me. Turns out they found the Ultra but by that time I already had the One and I just love it, because it syncs with my iPhone so I can obsess about my floor climbed and calories burned all day long!

My name is Diana, I am 25 and am looking to lose a whopping 60 pounds. I got a Fitbit One because my friend and I like to go walking, a lot. We average probably 15 miles a week on our walks. I figured I couldn't go wrong with a tracker like this. I haven't tried it yet but I am excited to see how far I walk every day! Feel free to add me as a friend or message me if you want to be buddies :)

I've used my new fitbit one for 3 days and I love it. I have found that seeing how many steps I have taken, does motivate me to "up it a little more. "
Best of luck to you.

Hello all, just got my fitbit today, I could use any hints and ways that make it easy for me to use. Also, any nurses use it? Wondering how it is working for you for the day.

Good evening, everyone. Just got my FitBit Zip yesterday and wore it for the first time today. Also had some calories burned on it before I even had it on............but for the most part since it seems to be pretty accurate. I'm doing a "normal" day kind of thing to see just how much I actually over estimated what I've been doing.............!

Look forward to getting to know everyone.

Good afternoon! After much research and deliberation, I went and bought my FitBit One last night, as well as the FitBit Aria scale. I love that they both integrate with SparkPeople! I'm still learning how to set everything up, but I really think that they will help me along my weight loss journey.

I got my Fitbit as a birthday present on 1/14. Have been using it since and love it. I'm amazed at how little I was moving on a daily basis! Definitely keeps me aware and accountable.

Hi & emoticon . I just received my fb on 2/14. On the fb website, it shows that I burned calories before I even received it. Not sure what that was about, but since wearing it, it seems to be accurate. Best of luck to you. emoticon
