Thanks guys. My salads are usually leaves, beans, sweetcorn, carrot, capsicum, and whatever other veggies/leftovers we have around (cooked veggies/lentils/tofu/tempeh). They are quite hearty with all the beans and tasty with all the flavours, so it doesn't feel too lightweight. I also love them with fruit sometimes, like paw paw (papaya), pineapple, pear, avocado... yum!

Mostly I found ETL too bland, so I am incorporating more flavours and textures. I'm probably sticking to it more than I realise, just that I'm picking recipes that look tasty but are low cal, rather than searching for ETL recipes specifically. Maybe I'm just a bit more experienced this time and can find more options for myself. As long as I can make it work and stick to it, that's the main thing! :)

That sounds like a good plan. ETL though says to not live on salad alone. There's an ETL team that I'm on if you're interested in joining that as well. Several of the other vegans on our site do ETL.

Getting active is key. Join our challenge! We're exercising on 3 days per week. It sounds easy, but in our time-strapped world it isn't always. This month we're making the time for it, and setting a positive tone for the whole year. You can track your progress on the new goal tracker I put at the bottom of the team page.

Welcome Jamie! This is a great group. I think a lot of us let ourselves go over Christmas. Its nice its warm where you are. I'm looking forward to that in a few months.

I've joined a few groups and lost track of where I've posted an introduction! ;)

I've been vegan for 5 years but my weight has just crept up and up.... after a rather nice xmas of eating whatever yummy treats I wanted, and sitting about basically all day long, I weighed myself and was shocked that I was at my heaviest ever. I have never had much luck losing weight in my life, despite generally eating healthily and periods in my life where I was exercising regularly.

After signing up to SP and charting my meals, I realise that I wasn't actually eating quite as healthily as I had thought, and I am now living in Salad-Land (luckily it's Summer here!), and trying to start exercising regularly.

At the moment I am following a diet based on Eat to Live (but with more of my favourite tastes, as when I followed the diet strictly I got really bored and fed up after several weeks, everything seemed so bland and boring); and currently aiming for 30 mins exercise on most days - using WiiFit Plus.

I was thinking of getting EA Active Sports once I get sick of the WiiFit, and I also have a Zumba DVD I want to try when I'm a little bit more fit or have more energy. I only managed about 10 mins of the intro when I tried it before! ;)

I'm looking forward to taking part in this community with you all! :)
