Welcome aboard, Amy!

This is a great place to reach goals -- we're happy to have you join us. When it comes to healthy cooking and foods, one thing many of our members find is that if you start with one small new healthy food habit at a time -- like finding a single healthy recipe -- or a new fruit or vegetable that you like, then you really can start to build your momentum.

Another thing I believe from personal experience is that if I am being consistent with my exercise, then foods like vegetables actually taste better to me -- and if they taste better, then I'm more likely to eat them :).

We'll have a lot of content about these types of issues in the SparkCoach videos, articles, etc.

Have fun reaching your goals -- SparkCheers!

Hello, My name is Amy and I am new to SparkCoach and SparkPeople...I have lost 50#lbs so far since Feb of this year and have about 200 more lbs to go....I have mostly done it by just trying to change my eating habits and exercising instead of going on different "fad" diets...what makes it harder for me is that I don't cook at all because I hate cooking so I eat mostly foods that are processed....that you can just either stick in the microwave or oven quickly...also my Husband who also struggles with his weight eats completely different foods than me...and he doesn't eat we eat make our meals separately...he is encouraging to me though which helps...I guess the hardest thing for me is not getting hard on myself if I gain weight...even when I have done everything this last week..I weighed in Wed and gained 5lbs....and I had a great eating/exercising week so it makes it very frustrating
