Welcome DWG.

Yes those medications for T2 diabetes (which I also have) have the job of taking blood sugar out of the blood and into cells. They usually make existing insulin more effective.

But when you cut carbs very low and keep the dosage of medication the same, it can drive blood sugar too low. It's a balancing act.

Im retired, senior citizen , sedentary, on T2 diabetic on medications. This is my 2nd visit to Team. 1st time I loss 15 lbs but had problems with low blood sugar and balancing my medications. This go around my goal is to eat more carbs with a target 50 grams daily and increase my exercise time.
