in rereading my post i want to clarify...the 2 hours walking or swimming is not in my book strenuous. its normal, everyday activity just done mindfully...so instead of say, walking thru a parking lot for 5 mins, i conciously walk a couple miles a couple times a day. i do anywhere from 2-4 miles an hour, depending on the heat, how my leg feels, how Lucy is feeling, etc. but nothing fast, or that takes my breath away.
The lifting is what i call the strenuous. The soloflex gives a great workout and i'm always adding weights when things become too easy.
and to add...people are always going on about fixing loose skin. I've seen some swear by something called a fascia blaster..something my doc FORBIDS...you are bruising yourself, it can be really dangerous, and there are tons of reviews from people who have been permanently hurt by it. As one expert says..NOTHING is going to take away the loose skin from a body that was meant to hold 130 pounds, when its been filled with 300 pounds for years. Maybe if you are 20, with all your elasticity, and the extra weight was very short term. The only thing that will totally fix the loose skin is surgery. and you have to do your research, and know there will be scarring. for some its a heatlh thing...there is pain with the loose skin, infections, etc. and they have to have it done. for others (myself one of them) i'd just like look in the mirror and not dislike what i'm seeing. One of the coaches waited 12 years i think he said..and just got his love handles done. I thought he looked fine. he didnt. they only took off about 4 pounds...and i can see the difference, but if it had been me i wouldnt have gone through the pain and expense for it...but we each have different things we like...if i was to have the money to do anything, it would be my boobs. for others its arms (they would be my second choice) or legs, or belly. some its chins.
the point is, though...with all of this..go with what YOU want. if you want to exercise..do it!! just know what to expect. And what not to expect, and be realistic with goals. If i knoew doing flyes would bring the girls back, i'd do a thousand of them a day. If i wont the lottery, i'd forgo a desparately needed new car and get them fixed. its alll individual!!!

Struggling a little with energy doing P90 sounds pretty normal. You are doing great. It's a balancing act and it's hard to have if all.

Carbs provide very quick energy, for bursts of energy, like punching. Fats are slower burning and provide more long continueous energy, like walking, running, swimming.

If P90 asks for bursts, then that part won't be the same. However if I had to choose between better P90 performance, or Keto, Keto would be my choice hands down.

theres one school that says dont work out it will slow you down..and the other school that doesnt care about speed so they do it. i'm the second school..i do heavy weights every day, and walk or swim for 2 hours. nothing too strenuous.
I had hope the naysayers were wrong, but i fit what they said..i did gain with working out. and then when i started losing again it has been terribly, terribly, slow. but i personally think we need it, even a little, so i'm not willing to stop. The 2 hours is doctors orders or my knee will seize up..the weights are my own thing.

Have you been working out while on keto? I just finished day 5 of P90 and I feel great except I struggle a little bit with energy during my workouts. Has anyone else experienced this? I've been on keto since December...
