Happy New year let's rock 2019.. I am retired from Law Enforcement. I retired in 2013, I have gained weight and I don't like how I feel. I am unable to do much upper body work because of my shoulder, 5 opperations didn't help. I love walking and I want to run a marathon one day. Keeping fingers crossed that I will. I'm so excited over this challenge. Here's hoping to getting fit and feeling good.

Well, I just did my first of the year measurements. I weigh more now than I have in about four years . . .but I took photos, so my fat has gone down. I've been hitting the weights quite a bit. I need to shape up my eating. That is rather hard to do as I have two children still at home who won't eat everything I cook. I made chili last night and my son went and got taco bell. Dear daughter said Yum!! I'm expecting (Praying) for them to both move out this coming year.
My waist size stayed the same, but I lost two inches off my abs.

I've got to get some breakfast figured out. I could have gone to the bank last night and got that done but seeing as they were closed today and sleep would definitely give me more energy to get done what I need to, I waited until today. I can't exercise until my son wakes up. He works nights so sleeps late during the day. Kind of stinks and certainly one of the reasons I want him in his own place. He sleeps in my living room. Had I any clue he would be moving back in, I would not have turned my spare room into an office.

I need to make a check list of things that need doing before tax time. I'm hoping I can get those done before my cruise in February.

As for last year, I did meet my goal to pay off the last of my collection agencies. I'd had collection agencies on me since 1992 and at one point, I had 32 collections on me. That actually increase while I was paying them off, but over the course of five years, I got them taken care of by God's grace.

I've several things I'm saving for this coming year then I'm going to start trying to save toward getting my own place. Of course, this will all be according to the will of God. If it's not His will that I have my own place, then I know this . . ."I've a mansion over there and when free from toil and care I am going where the Lamb is the Light".

Goodness! This was rather long-winded. I must run! Have a great day!!

Hero all, I am still hovering over 195, so seeing as how it is 1/1/2019.

I am a Mom to 3 Young men, one of whom will be forever 18, he passed away in 02.
And am a Gramma, to 5 soon to be 6 in May emoticon And why don’t they have a blue stroller emoticon

Have been married for 37 years. I am a Lunch Lady at an elementary school.
I am determined to not be a fat Grandma! anymore I will be 60 in MAY!

Good morning! I'm Dreama. I'm mom to five. All grown. Youngest is going to be starting hair design school in October, then the only thing to do is get my youngest son to become self-sufficient so he can get off my couch. I'm honestly looking forward to that time.

I clean houses for a living so I'm physically active a lot.

I have some disabilities that somewhat limit me, but at times I just let them stop me in my tracks.

I joined because I need someone to push me. There are days when my body just says "Nope! I hurt too much. Please leave me alone." It's during those days that I need someone to say 'Try a Coach Nicole chair workout', or something, because I really will let my brain dictate it.

My goal is to lose 10 pounds. But my body is hanging on to about every ounce of fat.

Hi everyone. I joined to get out of this slump I have been in. I am going to be 62 next week and my doctor said I was prediabetic. Yikes. I had been eating whatever suited my fancy and mostly that was sweets. Since the diagnosis, but before sparkpeople I weighted 242. Now I weigh 224 as of last Friday at the doctor's . I have lupus, skin cancer, and a breast cancer survivor.

I take care of my older siblings. My brother has Alzheimer's is 83 and an 88 year old sister that also lives with lupus.

My 16 year old granddaughter lives with me and my wonderful husband. My husband- ah he had his knee replaced last September then had complications blood clots formed broke loose had 2 in his lungs and 3 in his knee area plus a MI in November while we were visiting my brother. He had to have bypass surgery . Then complications from that he got pneumonia. Now he has finally turned that corner and is improving. He has lost 60 lbs. Needs to lose another 60. But that is his game not mine I just place good food in our home if he chooses to go get junk I do not fuss like I used to. But it sure is hard.

Ok back to me. My doctor put us on the plant paradox diet by dr Stephen Gundry. I still use his principles. I do cheat. But it is a sound diet. I do like bread though. But when I eat it I do ache.

I am a follower of Christ. And I live in the great state of Mississippi!

Hi Everyone,

I'm with you, Angela. Work was rough this week.

I'm completely new but had heard such good things about this group so was glad I got to be in it. I'm 68, still working, the mom to seven cats and one 47 year old son. I love them all!

I read a lot and am a gamer. I play everything from World of Warcraft to phone games. Other the years, though, I put on a lot of weight, which lead to Diabetes. I need to be more active, build body strength and, of course, lose weight.

I started working from home and I thought it would help me, but I'm finding I stand less, move less and sit in front of the computer for too many hours a day.

I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone and starting to get fit. Age is just a number!

@HEALTHY_MANDY I have finished two complete rounds of Whole30 and a few partial rounds.

Sadly, none of the Whole30 SP teams seem to stay very active.

If you go to my page, I blogged the first round for all 30 days, photos included. Feel free to read and message me with questions. Unfortunately life and health mine, my DH's and my DIL's got in the way, I have kept off about half the 18 pounds I lost and will be back at it in January.

I bought a instant pot for myself. There will be no excuse not to have healthy eating in just a few minutes now. I have spent an hour on Pinterest looking up healthy recipes. I could spend all day doing that, but off for a walk and cut some rosebushes back. Have a great day.
