I just joined the team yesterday after reading spark guys blog.thinking I could really use the help of the team. I've 🐝 putting off starting strength training if I I plan a head of time I should be able to get some in. Plus accomplish other items I put off.

Hi Maritimer, I, too, started Sparking in 2011. It was the best thing that has happened to me for getting myself healthy and spry. I have met such wonderful and inspiring people throughout the years. Bless Chris for all his work in keeping us all informed with his program.

Hello, everyone. Im Gail, a 75-year-old wife, mother, grandmother, friend and volunteer who lives an hour outside Toronto. Ive been a member of Spark since January 2011, and love the programme. Im down 22 lbs from my starting weight, and struggling with the last 10-15, but Im here for the rest of my life.

Spark People gives me good nutritional and exercise information, helps me chart my progress, provides daily motivational advice and has introduced me to wonderful people around the world.

Thank you, Chris and all your staff for this great programme, and for your kindness in keeping it free and open to everyone.

There's a difference between interest and commitment. When you're interested in doing something, you do it only when it's convenient. When you're committed to something, you accept no excuses; only results.
When you get to a plateau, think of it as a landing on the stairway to your goal. And
maintenance is a lifelong plateau, so a bit of "rehearsal" for maintenance isn't the worst thing in the world
