TOBDY: and how is your memoir coming? I too, plan to achieve 100. So far so good at 86, tho I was never so physically active. I want to read your other methods to age so well.

There's a difference between interest and commitment. When you're interested in doing something, you do it only when it's convenient. When you're committed to something, you accept no excuses; only results.
When you get to a plateau, think of it as a landing on the stairway to your goal. And
maintenance is a lifelong plateau, so a bit of "rehearsal" for maintenance isn't the worst thing in the world
Breathe in love & compassion.. Breathe out peace & forgiveness.

Everybody tells me that they would love to knit, but they don't have time. I look at people's lives and I can see opportunity and time for knitting all over the place. The time spent riding the bus each day? That's a pair of socks over a month. Waiting in line? Mittens. Watching TV? Buckets of wasted time that could be an exquisite lace shawl. ~Stephanie Pearl-McPhee, At Knit's End: Meditations for Women Who Knit Too Much A true friend reaches for your hand but touches your hea

Hi! emoticon

I'm glad to be back! What sparked me was joining in on Sparkguys new goal. I just don't know where to post my daily photo. Do you?

I live in the Philippines with my son, Filipina daughter in law, family. my 2-year-old grandson and faithful dogs. I just moved here from Miami, Florida this past June. The transition has been big but wonderful. I am looking forward to hiking the mountains here in the spring.

I am 69 and not really feeling that old. My age boggles my mind, at least the number. I am a spry, active woman and definitely young at heart.

My long term personal goal is to win the Gold at one of the senior games, FINA, SPEEDO, MASTERS. in swimming. My favorite stroke is Butterfly. My idols are the centenarians who have won the gold in swimming. My other long term goal is to become a Sifu in Tai Chi.

An amusing story, many years ago I found a birthday card for a person who is 100 years old. I had my children sign it for me. No, it wasn't for that years birthday. It was for when I turn 100 years old! That is when I decided to work towards better health and wellbeing. Of course that is a lofty long term goal, nevertheless, with faith, prayer, dedication and tons of work, I believe I will achieve it.

My favorite activities are swimming, walking, hiking, Tai Chi & QiGong and my new addition, Zumba.

My short term goals are to maintain at least 10 minutes of activity/exercise every day. My medium-term goal is to increase my muscle mass and strength. I have just bounced back from a two-year health set-back. It's very nice to be well again!

I joined the 2019 Fall 5% Challenge. This will be round 3 for me. I like 8-week challenges and 5% weight loss is challenging and achievable. I have 10 more pounds to lose till maintenance mode. Yay!

Nutrition-wise, I am transitioning from a low-fat Mediterranean food plan to a temporary Keto Mediterranean food plan.

So, there you have it!
