How did you feel the Fall Challenge went for you personally?
Started great then had a health disaster the derailed everything

Did you as a Leader feel supported? If not a Leader, as a member did you feel the Leader team cared?
Absolutely, had many many messages of support which I really appreciated

What do you wish for you personally had something(s) gone different?
Nothing anyone could have foreseen

What did you enjoy during the Fall? This is general question

During the Fall Challenge what did you enjoy:

The Least as a Leader?
Getting broken and letting everyone down :(
The lack of support for the congeniality

What is your favorite activity exercise wise?
Riding and weights

probably not

I'm feeling really frustrated at the moment. My bout of meningitis has left me with what they call "neural deficits" which means I feel like I'm trying to knit fog. I'm really struggling to make sense of all the mailbox threads at the moment. I hope to get back to full strength this challenge x

How did you feel the Fall Challenge went for you personally? I think the Fall Challenge went well. I did not meet my goals but I maintained even though I had a lot of things going on in my life.

Did you as a Leader feel supported? If not a Leader, as a member did you feel the Leader team cared? I was not a leader in the Fall Challenge. Yes, as a member I did feel that the Leader team cared. It seemed that if one leader was out of town or unavailable for whatever reason that someone stepped up to fill in for that leader.

What do you wish for you personally had something(s) gone different? I am satisfied with the way things went for me personally.

What did you enjoy during the Fall? This is general question I tried being more active in the chat rooms trying to get to know some of the other team members.

During the Fall Challenge what did you enjoy: I liked recognizing someone on the Capital A Day. It gave me a chance to go to the member's page and learn a little something about them and then of course to leave a positive comment. The same goes for the anniversaries and birthdays.

The Least as a Leader? I was not a leader in the Fall Challenge.

As a member (we are all members too)? I like that I am meeting my nutritional goals and meeting new people.

The Least as a member? I have not figured this out yet.

What is your favorite activity exercise wise? I like to swim and on the days I do not swim I walk/jog.

Is this something the team can benefit from during the cold/heat? I would think maybe tips on exercising safely in the cold/heat.

Would you like to encourage the team to do this? Hopefully, after some training and guidance I could help.

Anything else you wish to share? I hope to learn about the EL position so that I can have a positive impact on the team and at the same time maintain a positive attitude.

How did you feel the Fall Challenge went for you personally?
I started the challenge burned out, not really enthusiastic, but wanted to be part of the team so I would not gain weight. I worked hard during the Summer challenge and just wanted to relax, but I realized in the middle of the Fall challenge I better start working harder or would not achieve 5% goal.

However, this taught me something. I get frustrated and critical by team members who sign up for a challenge and practically do nothing. We all start out at different levels, newbies who are excited, seasoned who just want support and perhaps maintenance, etc. Also, life happens during the challenges ups and downs that may prevent us from giving our all. So, as EL I want to accept each member at their level without being critical. However, I would like to reach out and encourage more activity if possible. I saw the leadership team do this for several "lost" members, so don't know how to improve this. Maybe something to discuss for Winter challenge.

Did you as a Leader feel supported? If not a Leader, as a member did you feel the Leader team cared?
I feel the leader team is very supportive to team members and SP community in general and I felt supported as a leader. I truly appreciated the positive feedback about my performance and cheering me on with indecision about returning for the Winter challenge.

However, as a newbie leader I felt overwhelmed a lot. I suppose everybody's learning curve is different, but I would have liked an easier break-in time. I felt like someone teaching you to swim by throwing you in the water and saying swim. Part of this is my fault by not asking for help. Several times I was asked how are you doing and how are things going, but I tried to do things on my own without bothering anybody. Once I got connected to the leadership school things started working out better for me, but it takes time to do all this. Believe me I'm not saying this to be critical, but I
would like to improve the leadership training by perhaps setting up some guidelines or mentoring service for the newbie leader.

What do you wish for you personally had something(s) gone different?
I wish I had started the challenge being more enthusiastic about LTGL challenges and exercing more. I waited 3 weeks before I really got serious about anything.

What did you enjoy during the Fall? This is general question:
In my personal life spending more time in spiritual pursuits and planning on how I can give to community.

During the Fall Challenge what did you enjoy:
I really liked getting to know the leader team and how it works behind the scenes. I loved the motivational calendar. As part of my leader duties reading the blogs got me interested more in SP community. I liked the chat threads and visiting member pages, getting to know them better.

The Least as a Leader? Being a newbie leader in training and learning how to be a leader instead of a team member.

As a member (we are all members too)? I did not like the LTGL's this challenge. For example, there are some members who do not want or like to track food, but it continued for more than 1 week. I thought that might be frustrating and/or hard for someone to do more than a week. I think LTGL should be 1 week only -
diversity is better to keep members interested and participating.

The Least as a member? LTGL's.

What is your favorite activity exercise wise? Water activities now. If I get back to walking without pain it would be walking.

Is this something the team can benefit from during the cold/heat? Not really unless access to pool.

Would you like to encourage the team to do this? Not really individual preference.

Anything else you wish to share?
I want to make this a GREAT team. I think we have really good leadership, and I'm not saying this just to be congenial, but if we put our heads together we can make it better. There is always room for improvement. Competition is great, but I think it is sad that so few members achieve their 5% weight loss goal each season and I would like this to change. I would like the SP community to say, hey if you want to lose weight go the Awesome A team.

I love competing among teams! The effort most everyone does to work together for common goals. The communication with the members through the chat thread, their blogs, wall posts, community posts, spark mails.

During the Fall Challenge what did you enjoy:
I enjoyed how our CL's directs the team (in a real competitive way!), the new fine touch Gracie gives the team.

The Least as a Leader?
When some members don't really care about the team and competition and, on top of it, they get angry.

The Least as a member?
Having to track my food. I think some LTGL's tend to be boring. Also, there are places I'd rather not visit emoticon But, oh, well, I don't quite mind that.

What is your favorite activity exercise wise?
Walking/hiking while my knees permit.

Is this something the team can benefit from during the cold/heat?
Walking videos are great!

Would you like to encourage the team to do this?
I think they are already with the Step Tracker challenge.

Anything else you wish to share?
I really love good ol' members as well as new members. So much to learn from them.

How did you feel the Fall Challenge went for you personally?

I WANTED to lose, but I'm ending up in maintenance mode. Its a PLUS though I didn't gain, but I just am not losing either. Does the body determine this? I've been doing every suggestion my PCP suggests. I do have acupuncture soon coming up and my new Dr there ,, she's GREAT!!

The car is a DISASTER and can't be fixed. So I am going to lose it, but it's not inspected so bye bye. I did go thru a horrible depression for about a week when I found out. But, I reached out and got help for those feelings. I'll have to stop my job at some point in Dec, and I HATE that! But, it needs to be done, unless and I DOUBT it, if they will allow me to drop down to 8 hours a week. DOUBTFUL!! And not sure I really want that.

Did you as a Leader feel supported? I SURE DID!! You guys are GREAT!!! If not a Leader, as a member did you feel the Leader team cared?

What do you wish for you personally something(s) had gone different? I WISH I were a FREGGIE Eater, so I am now working on that!! Maybe it'll help and cook more, and I am beginning to start on that.

What did you enjoy during the Fall? This is general question: how lively the chat thread is now!! ANd the leaders who participate in it. Of course not all leaders have the time but it's a FUN thread to read!! I also LOVE the step tracker challenge!! That's so NEAT!!

During the Fall Challenge what did you enjoy:

The most as a Leader doing? Watching the numbers ROLL ON IN especially on Landing day!

The Least as a Leader? The amount of members who really don't care if they post or they have the "someone else can do it" attitude. I DID get QUITE a NASTY Gram from a member who's NOT impressed we are a team that likes to compete. That was STRANGE because it was written in a very attacking way, but as the CL I Expect to get some somewhat like it. It happens. On the PLUS Side, we all get so many GREAT emails which more than makes up for 1 eeeeewww one. BUT!! In that one, it made me sit back and think "are we supportive enough?" So I've changed within myself around that.

As a member (we are all members too)? As a member it was all good from my view point.

The Least as a member? LOL not losing weight, but that's my own doing.

What is your favorite activity exercise wise? Walking!

Is this something the team can benefit from during the cold/heat? I see many who say "oh it's cold out. I didn't go out." But, I walk inside and my unit is VERY SMALL!! My living room is 12X 14, my kitchen is a gallery kitchen so NO room there!! And my bed room is 12X10 so my place is NOT big, but I still walk around it when there's something on the idiot box (AKA TV) that I do not want to walk the hallways or it's just to much to walk outside, or it's dark.

Maybe we can encourage some try Leslie Sansone? Think I have her name right?

Would you like to encourage the team to do this? I'd love to see an exchange of inside activities one can do, perhaps by an EL?

Anything else you wish to share? I LOVE SNOW!! BRING IT ON!! ANd I so much so APPRECIATE ALL OF YOU!! This is going to be a very exciting challenge for the WINTER!! WOOHOO
