Wish I had thought of the cinnamon stick thing when I was quitting it soulnds like a good idea.

I'm just on my first week. For me, the key is to keep busy. The more I do, the less time I spend thinking about smoking. Also, I'm wearing the patch. That helps with the physical cravings.

The most important for me, however, is to stay away from the area I smoked the most. For me, that's my desk/computer. Instead of doing everything for a couple of hours, I break up my pc time into short breaks from other things and I keep a cinnamon stick at my desk to imitate a cigarette (somewhat).

It's good that you have your husband who is doing the same. It helps a lot. I've found excellent support here, so will you.

Hi guys im new to this but im 27 yrs old and i have been smoking since i was 13 and i dont want my children to begin smoking.. i want to live a long healthy life i am going to set my quit date for Sept 1st i will need all the support possible. My husband is on his 2nd week and i want to try and succeed along his side. any suggestions to help me get through this
