I had to tell myself I was not a quitter I choose not to smoke. And more than three years later I make that choice several times a day.

We can do this! I am on day 2 and feeling ok too. I just hope I don't fall back into the trap of having "just one" in the future. That is what has derailed me every time! We can do this!

Good for you !!!!! Perfect attitude you have. I am still struggling with the quit but continue to remind myself that I am not quitting, I do not have to put myself thru the hell of smoking anymore. I am 50 yrs old and started when I was 17 just the way all dumb kids that start do. I always say that when you know better you do better so I have no excuses to not ever smoke again.

I am thrilled to see your post today because it has been a rough day for me.

God Bless,

Debbie

Hi my name is Michelle. I just quit 3 days ago cold turkey and actually doing ok. No major withdrawals just every now and them I have a craving but nothing extreme. I started smoking socially when I was 21 and actually successfully quit smoking cold turkey before from December 2008-July 2010. It started all over with just bumming one cigarette a day from my sister and I really wish I would've never restarted again. So here I am, going for a second go round and this time I WILL NEVER go back to smoking. My mind is made up.
