Welcome! I, too, am trying to lose weight that I gained during pregnancy and afterward... is it still fair to call it baby weight if it's over a period of eight years? :)

I'm also working on my first week of not smoking (successfully), and I'm holding tight to the thought that this is my "LAST QUIT".

We can do this.

15 pounds is a reasonable gain. Your whole metabolism changes when you quit. emoticon
Stay with it.

Welcome! That added weight can be a bear, but it is still worth the quit.

Just taking a second to introduce myself on a new team. I am 89 days smoke free as of 5 p.m. tonight. And I love every minute of my smoke free life, except for the 15 pounds I have gained from it, plus the other 50 pounds I've gained from having two kids. I am praying that, since I was finally able to quit smoking, maybe down I can finally lose some weight and get back in the shape that I was in 10 years ago. I'm hoping to meet some new friends, have a good time, be a shoulder to cry on and have a shoulder to cry on.
