Awesome! I'm glad to know I'm in good company. As many of you know, this program really works and I look forward to reading about everyone's progress.

Welcome Back! I am at it for the second time. I completed the first program in August of 08. I scheduled myself for a 5K in October, but never made it. So, I am here again.

This time around, I think I am going to have to stop for awhile. I believe I have shin splints. I am only in week 3, but I am at the point where walking really hurts!

Any tips?

Patrick,
Nothing to be embarassed about. sounds like you are smart starting back to something that worked well. Sometimes people take breaks from certain types of working out..but then they realize that they miss it. Your come back will go great!

Sincerely, Jess

I've been a member of this group for a while but haven't posted in a long time so I thought I would say hi. It's kind of embarrassing but I've done this program 2 times before with great results. In late 07 and 08 I ran about 3 5K races with 33-35 minute average finish times. I was doing pretty well but I allowed myself to slowly stop a sport I really love. So, I'm back at Week 2. My breathing is good but my legs (mild shin splints) are playing catch-up so I'm just going thought the program again to be safe. I hope to be able to offer some experience to folks going through this program for the first time. I lost about 30 pounds on it the second go around.
