Thanks guys! I'm definitely going to listen to my body and slow it down if it's not working for me. I've sort of tentatively planned to either go back to Week 1 or take an extra week of Week 2 exercises depending on how I feel at the end of the week.

I'm with Banker-Chuck: these days I'm a skinny fat person. I'm hauling around a tone of weight but it's simply evidence of past misdeeds because these days, I'm living healthy. Congrats on recognizing the potential fat person in your skinny self before the evidence starts showing up on the outside. I wish I'd focused more on healthy activity when I was at university instead of worrying about dieting.

I cannot make myself be thin today, but I CAN be healthier by making a few smart choices. I focus on what needs to be done today and tomorrow takes care of itself.

My skinny self is still trapped inside my fat person somewhere. But big strides are being made to let this skinny person out!. Good for you in making the commitment to get in condition. The C25K is an excellent program. Myself I am doing the "Cool Running" program.
Good luck to your training and college.

It's funny that you would mention skinny fat person because my girlfriend and I were talking about that this morning. People assume that because you look thin and shapely you are healthy. Sometimes people who are thicker can be healthier then thinner people. So kudos to you for understanding that because you are thin doesn't necessarily mean you are healthy. Have fun on your trip.

Welcome to the group and good luck with the program. It is a great way to get in shape. Just make sure to take it slowly and not try to go too fast or it's easier to get burned out and quit. Many of us find slowing our speed down helps us to stay with it.
The hiking trip sounds awesome!

...is worth a pound of cure.

Basically, I'm going on a week long hiking trip in August with my school, and if I don't exercise now, get in shape, and be strong enough for the trip, I'll be completely miserable.

I'm a student, about to start University for the first time, so having fun and meeting friends on the trip is my utmost priority. I'm a swimmer, originally, with my Lifeguard certification, but I'd be what you call a "skinny fat person" (no disrespect to anyone overweight). IE, while I may appear slender, I am completely, 100% out of shape, and the C25K program is the best bet for getting me back in shape.

I'm looking forward to participating in this group! I definitely think I'll need support to finish.
