Feel for you with the migraines. I had them from the early 20's to my early 50's when all of a sudden they stopped a couple of years ago. My doc said it was probably changing hormones that caused them to stop. Not necessarily estrogen or progestren changes as I had a total hysterectomy over 10 years before, but some other hormone.

So glad you got out and did it and joined us. I read on one thread about keeping cooler in the heat someone said to wrap ice cubes in a bandana to tie around your neck. Don't know if it will help but it might keep you cooler while running while maybe trying to keep the migraine being triggered by running at the same time. I have no idea for sure though but when you said you put an ice pack on your neck I thought about it. Good luck to you and look forward to hearing more of your progress.

That is totally Awesome! You CAN do this! I am still on Week 4 which is like 3 & 5 minute runs...Scary stuff but I seem to be okay with it. :o)

I feel for you and your migraines. My oldest gets them at a drop of a hat since she was 8. Heat REALLy seems to affect her. Where do you live that you get them? I'm debating on the run here for W4, #lots here in sunny California.

keep us posted! you can do it!

I finally did W1D1 today...again. I had started a few months ago but stopped due to the blood thinners I was taking for migraines. I got off them last week and was supposed to have done day 1 on Monday but plans got in the way...BUT at least I did it the next scheduled day! It just means that day 3 will be on the weekend.

It's hot here so I have to adjust the times when I run. This morning at 8:30 it was already 70 degrees with 55% humidity. I almost overheated but I had a glass of water set outside and I had some water halfway through the workout. Then when I got inside, I put an ice pack on the back of my neck to prevent a headache from coming (anything seems to trigger them lately). But now that I'm just about cooled off and the headache has been prevented...I feel FANTASTIC! I can't wait to do day 2! emoticon
