Welcome - you can do it if I can! Never thought I would say this but I really like running now. I am on the last week of training and can run 30 minutes straight. Be careful to pace yourself - it is easy to burn out if you go too fast.

Welcome new teammates! I am living, breathing proof that C25K works as I thought I would NEVER be a runner and now I love it...I just wonder why it took me so long to start!

I'm new too (starting C25k tomorrow) and this journey is definitely about "finding my inner athlete"- I'm a sports fan and I'm tired of only being able to watch sports...I want to PLAY!!

I'm embracing my inner athlete right along with you! I'm glad to have found this group too, there are so many wonderful people who encourage and motivate! I just started my 2nd week of C25K, but I'm repeating week one since I don't feel ready to advance just yet.

I just finished the C25K training on Saturday. Although I don't run that fast, the bright side is that I am running. I am looking into running my first 5K soon. The summer is so busy that it is hard to find a weekend that we don't already have plans. Also, I have not actually run 3.1 miles yet. I worked up to 2.37 in 30 min. I feel like I can probably run it, but I have not tried yet. My goal is to try and run 3.1 miles tomorrow. If not, I will go as long as I can and keep at it until I can. Good luck and don't give up!!

Welcome Elle!!! So glad to see you here. I hope you get as much out of the attempt as I have in my 3 weeks. After two weeks of struggling to balance other exercise and eating with the new running attempt, this week I've been hitting all the marks and the scale dropped 5 lbs since Tuesday. I don't know if it will hold, but it's good to see results in addition to the unexpected reward of my run/walk intervals.

I cannot make myself be thin today, but I CAN be healthier by making a few smart choices. I focus on what needs to be done today and tomorrow takes care of itself.
