I am new to the group. I have decided to try to lose just 5 pounds a 20 pounds during this school year. (I teach so it is easier to create goals aligning with the school year). My eventual goal is 115, but if I can just lose 10 pounds each decade instead of gaining, I'd be really happy.
I am 56, married with two children in college far from home. I live in rural NY (Yes there is such a thing). I decided to embrace the country and try my hand at beekeeping. I am liking it and actually got almost 50 pounds of honey off the hives this year.
I hope to retire in 2023 when I turn 62. I'd like to be in the healthy weight range long before then...My problem has never been losing weight, but keeping it off. I have lost 10 pounds way too many times, but have kept it off zero times.

I am losing weight 10% at a time. I can do this!
Goal: 5 pounds a season.

Hi all, I am new to group and to slow carb. Did Atkins once. I have yo-yoed before. Hoping this time it works like the having to have a cheat day. This is my first REAL week in since I didn't read the book completely and made a couple of mistakes last week (like putting cheese on my salad and eating cheese sticks as snacks and actually barely cheating on chest day. Better prepared this week. I will be logging results over the weeks but I know the numbers don't count until 4 weeks in.
