Hi Gay!! This is a very active group!! All very encouraging, too.

Welcome to LC/IF. April 1st is a funny date to start a diet, but very memorable when 6 months down the road someone asks how long you've been doing this remarkable diet that shows so much!!

Start slowly with the IF - like just extend your breakfast until it's lunch!! If you can, there's no rules. Everyone is an experiment of N=1.

Hi everyone! Hope this is an active group. I started my Keto/LCHF WOE on 1st of April and have decided to get back on Spark People for some support. I've read all about LCHF and all the science is there, so I'm giving it an honest try. I read up on the 5:2 Intermittent Fasting, too. I know from experience that fasting is not deprivation, so I'm looking forward to my first day without eating as well. Very positive at this point. First weigh in is this coming Sunday. Let's do this!

Thank you for the welcome and sorry for the very long delay in replying...
I'm actually just now..some two months later, finally starting my journey...
I had planned to start at the very beginning of the year but ya know...LIFE can be a huge obstacle in itself. So...today is day 2 for me and so far, all is going well...

I have yet to explore the group, but just as soon as I have some down time, I plan on doing just that.
Thanks again for the welcome.

Me too - Welcome back. Of course carbs are like opiates - no wonder we crave them constantly when we return to eating them for a holiday season. Or longer. I try and remember how good I feel when I don't eat carbs. They taste so good, but the feeling of having control over your eating choices is so much better.

2018. The year of getting it all together!!

Thrilled to have found this group..
I've been living low-carb off again, on again for about 2 years...and I have to say up front, when I eliminate most of the high carbohydrate foods from my diet..I feel SO MUCH BETTER...every time.
You would think feeling better, in itself, would be enough to keep one from straying back to old eating habits, but unfortunately that what happens to me..so here I am, determined to reach my personal goals this year...and back to a dedicated low-carb & intermittent fasting approach.
Looking forward to meeting you all..
