Also, it's much easier to fast if you are in ketosis so I would recommend starting with a low carb high-fat diet (medium protein).

There are also a lot of resources on dietdoctor.com and surprisingly - youtube has a lot of info on fasting!! The book Bev Anne cited is like the fasting bible - it's sometimes dry reading, but worth the effort to get through it. My favorite part is the testimonials which are scattered throughout the book.

I suggest IF (intermittent fasting) to start with - it's easier to incorporate into any lifestyle, and then if you are still wanting more (quicker) results, through in a few EF (extended fasts).

I am new and My goals is to lose weight and get health. I would like to know more about the fasting and how that works. This is a journey I have started and nothing is going to stand in my way I can not let it. Any advice or help would be great. Nice to meet you all.
