At the present time, I'm not working on any quilts for charity. I used to belong to a group that made squares for charity quilts but it has not been active for a while. We each made twelve inch square in different themes (One time it was snowmen another time something patriotic) then several people would get together and assemble them. We then donated money for batting, backs and quilting.

I am looking forward to seeing this team become more active. It encompasses two of my favorite activities.

Hi. I have just applied to become a co-team leader for this group. I like the fact that it is a small group...less than 50 people. Also that the quilts are donated to a charity. I almost always donate the quilts I make. I work with a group called 'Prayers and Squares'...it is an international organization that makes quilts for people in the community that are sick and wish to have others pray for them.

I have only been quilting for about 4 years so I'm not sure I can answer too many quilting questions but I do have great resources...a couple of excellant teachers I can ask questions of.

I hope to see a lot more interest in this group. I also like the fact that we are walkers here. That is my favorite form of exercise. I'm possibly going to have to have foot surgery in the near future so will have to curtail my walking for a while.

This has more or less fallen by the wayside. I personally would like to see it be more active so I'm with you.

just signed up for Sparkpeople today and checking out a couple of the message boards. I like the mission of this one.... is this group still active or has it fallen to the wayside.
