Hi I have recently rejoined Spark People and have decided to recommit to my exercise and weight loss goals. I am proud to be part of this team.

Anna, you sound like a younger version of me! I too love to sing, but sadly never learned to play an instrument. I've been on a weight loss journey for almost 2 years. I'm not there yet, but I have lost 74 lbs. so far. My whole outlook on food, nutrition, and overall health has changed so much. I hope your journey goes well for you. Welcome to Geekdom!

Hi, I'm Anna, a single 25 year old from upstate NY. I am in love with music in all it's forms and play a little piano and guitar but love singing the most. I am rather nerdy and love Star Wars, Star Trek, Firefly, LOTR, Sherlock, The Hunger Games, and much more!

I want nothing more than to be healthy and feel good about the decisions I'm making for my body- no "diet" for me! It's all about a lifestyle change. I'm finishing up making a very in-depth plan to keep myself on track and I start in March.

I'm really hoping I can find someone to buddy up with who is around my age and has the same goal as me (overall health, NOT simply weight loss). I have no specific number goals, but have found other ways to track my progress. I do have a LOT of weight to lose, but of all the times I've wanted to lose weight I've never been sure I could do it until now- now that the weight doesn't matter to me. It was always a desire to change my appearance, and I never had a lasting drive. I hated my body and the way I looked but that was never a strong enough drive to stick to a plan. It's only now- now that I've grown to love myself and my body- that I feel the drive to take care of my body and do what's best for it. That drive is why I'm sure I will be able to get healthier and eventually become a healthy weight.

I have a long journey ahead, and I hope this site can be among the tools I use to keep myself on track.
