In total agreement about depression being isolating. I've taken anti-depressants for many, many years, but I'm starting to wonder if I should see my doctor about changing my prescription because the past few months I haven't felt "right". I've taken the same medication (Wellbutrin) and dosage about 10-12 years now. Maybe it's time for a change.

emoticon I'd probably crawl in my blanket fort and go right to sleep! And then when I woke up I wouldn't be able to move from sleeping on the floor and that might be bad!

Yes, I agree with Beverly. Depression is hard to break out of but changing your routine a little bit can really help. I too struggle with it but sometimes we just need to decide to have a good day.

On the depression front: I find that depression can be very isolating and I get into a rut of doing the same things over and over because it's just easier!

Try doing just ONE thing differently and see if that helps lift the depression somewhat. It doesn't even have to be something big - just decide and do!

Oh no Jill we need to shake this funk we are both under. I think mine has been caused by issues at the office but I believe some are straighten out and I am meeting with 2 of the store owners tomorrow. If they won’t accept what I have I am conceding and firing them as I can’t /won’t do what they want me to do. I have truly spent too much time on them. Especially for what we are charging them.

Brenda, yes you have to watch that knee replacement that is for sure. But, I know you are going to be the first one on the floor playing with that baby!

I am picking up my boys today after work and we are going to make a huge mess of their house. It’s blanket fort day today! Daddy is going to beat RaRa when he gets home but I don’t care. It’s all about the fun! Have a great day ladies.

I have one knee replacement and one bad knee. You can't kneel on the replacement, but I can get down and up with something to hang on. It's definitely a struggle both ways!!

I'm sorry that you both haven't been feeling yourselves. I hope both of you can find some relief.

I can get down but it is that darn getting up that I struggle with.

I too have been dealing with something - not sure if depression or anxiety. It is so weird because I feel good when I am at home but when I go out I feel like I am in a fog and anxious to get home. Don't want to be one of those people that are afraid to leave their home. emoticon I do know I hate the cold temps and short days. I love sunshine and long days.

Me too Brenda, I love being able to get down on the floor with the boys. And they love that I can. They ask me all the time if my knee is still broken. I have really bad knees. But I am still able to run jump and play with them at the moment. I need to get back at it.

I have learned though depression sucks big time. I don't know why this
year has been so bad but man I am over it!

True Kim. My hubby doesn't care if I'm thin or heavy (if he did, he would've been gone a looooong time ago)! However, I do. I want to be fit and healthy so I'm not tired. I want to be a fun grandma and keep up with the kiddos. I want to feel good about myself. I'm doing it for me.

Trust me, I know it is a lifestyle change. But sometimes I want my old lifestyle back. LOL

I am so blessed that you are all here with me doing this. Grateful that I can come here and complain and you all know what I am talking about. Bad thing is I am not hurting anyone but myself. It’s hard when no one else cares they like me for me not for my weight. Which is awesome but not helpful in this journey.

I am right there with all of you! Struggle daily! I agree with Brenda though, we need to do what works for us individually as a lifestyle change. I'm working on it but it is hard! So glad I have all of you to help me though!

Ms. Brenda is correct. It would be nice to think we could just take it off once and have done with it, but it IS a lifestyle change. Even after having weight loss surgery, I still struggle to eat right. It's a balancing act that I have to learn to walk.

Been there, done that and it's always going to be a struggle. However, it's a lifestyle (not a diet) and you need to find what works for you! I found that WW works for me...keeps me in check with good carbs, but gives me extra points per week to use as I want. My sis and I use them as a "cheat meal/day" once a week. I eat something I want, then I'm satisfied and move on for the rest of the week knowing I'll get to choose another food treat in a week. We also started going to the gym this year to help firm up the flab. I feel much better and feel like I'm finally moving forward.

I hear ya ladies. Everything has been on hold while I'm in school so I eat whatever is available without regard for what it is. I've been gaining weight again. Not good. I am looking forward to putting more energy towards SP again. I miss the blogging and actually taking time to cook.

Know exactly what you mean Kim. I think I really want to lose weight but so hard to give up my carbs and other goodies. Hard especially when my husband and family love me regardless of what I weigh.

But on the flip side with my family history of heart disease I know I must make some lifestyle changes. I know I must move more

How do you stop giving up on yourself? I mean seriously I am just tired of "dieting" I want this or I want that and I just eat it. Then I get disgusted with myself.
