My copy of Go Set a Watchman should be delivered Tuesday and everything else gets sidetracked until I am through but I just found a box of L. M. Montgomery books out in the garage DM bought for a dollar at a garage sale so they may be next.

About to start Armada by Ernest Cline. My boyfriend got his first book, Ready Player One, in a subscription box for geeks (Loot Crate). Cline's books are written with a very heavy dose of 80s sci-fi nostalgia. It'll be a quick, fun read.

I just finished the Harry Potter series (I think this was my 5th complete read-through).

I'm reading "The Red Temple" by Rick Riordan. I ADORED both of his other series--Percy Jackson and The Olympians and the The Heroes of Olympus series.

I'm halfway done with Gone Girl. I made the mistake (?) of watching the movie before I read the book. I should just finish it.
I'm also half done with "Inside of a dog", which is a fascinating book (if you like dogs), but I don't usually read non-fiction, so it's a bit of a chore for me, even though I DO like dogs. :)

I'm always glad to see there are others who read multiple books at once. I only read one at a time when I am REALLY into the story. Here is my currently reading list:

Crossed by Ally Condie
The First Phone Call From Heaven by Mitch Albom
Tribulation Force by Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins
Wedding Night by Sophie Kinsella
The Addicted Brain by Michael Kuhar
Believing God by Beth Moore
Tea With Emma by Diane Moody

Hoping to finish one or two by this weekend!

Just finished Lizzie ( The Great War Book 1) by S E---Kindle addition

Pretty interesting all though a very short story

The brutal 1892 hatchet murders of the infamous Lizzie Borden acquittal come alive when present-day Lizzie Allen moves back into her childhood home. Suffering from amnesia, she struggles to uncover the mysteries of her youth and the distant past.

Finished reading Summer at Shell Cottage by Lucy Diamond and I really enjoyed it so I will be reading more books by this author. I started reading The Third Wife by Lisa Jewell, so far it has me keen to continue as I am not quite sure what is going to happen.

In bed I am reading the The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society which is written in letter form and I am enjoying it so far, not progressing as quickly as I would like but I am generally quite tired so manage a few pages each evening. Once I am done with this I intend to read To Kill a Mockingbird - hard to believe but I am one of the few that have not read it. I was in the O level stream at school and only CSE got to read it as part of English Literature. I am hoping it lives up to my expectations as I have many friends who rate it amongst their favourite books.

I read The Husband's Secret. I thought the premise was good and at times it was well written but overall it fell flat. Friends have said that she has written other books that are good.

Besides reading "Bossypants," I'm also reading "When the Eagle Screams." Both very interesting. When the Eagle Screams is deeply disturbing. How much was known and how arrogant we may have been as a country. Only 30% though it and is an eye opener reguardless if you thought that you read it all in the paper.

Just finished reading We Are All Made of Stars by Rowan Coleman - it was a good read but did take me some time to get into the format of the book and it was not as good as her previous novel The Memory Book (The Day We Met in the US) which had me sobbing on more than one occasion.

Today I am starting on Summer at Shell Cottage by Lucy Diamond - she is a new author to me. So we shall see what I think.

I am Malala by Malala Yousafzei. A powerful book written by the girl who was shot (when she was 15 years old) by the Pakistani Taliban because she was advocating for education for girls. I am enjoying reading about her life trying to be a relatively normal teenager as religious extremism and violent civil war and unrest invade her previously beautiful quiet valley. I also appreciated learning a bit more about an Islamic culture that was going through turmoil. She is very open about both the corruption and inefficiency of the government, and the impact of the Taliban (both good -- when they stepped in to do earthquake relief and medical treatment; and bad -- intolerance and beheadings and lashings ...)

4 stars (I think the voice of the co-author/reporter sometimes gets in the way of Malala's story -- so I would rate it 5 for Malala and 3.5 for the co-author; who probably also didn't have the easiest job!)
