I have soup just about every day with lunch. I hope that will help make it easier to eat a cold salad, as well!

As the weather gets warmer here salads are easier for me- when it is cold out I tend to not want tthem or need to put warm beans or just throw greens into a soup

I've begun to make salads again for lunch, done that twice so far, I hope to turn it into a new habit. In the past I made a salad for lunch every day, for years but stopped it at some point.
In the past year I had raw cucumber, carrots and bell peppers with lunch but I think to add greens has added value.

Not doing perfect with avoiding sugar. It's a tough week now, teaching two guest classes for student nurses and tomorrow my husband is getting surgery done. I"ve changed my goal for the time beinig to 'no sugar / junkfood in the house' and 'no indulging in treats except for twice a week'.

I've begun to use more pepper and I think that helps me to add less salt to my dishes. Like you I never add salt while cooking. I taste my food and then add salt... I wish it was easier to somehow measure just how much salt I get in....

I have a shower to go to- a lunch- so I will see..
For salt- I am not 100%- yet..but so low!!
Herbamere- helps it has lower salt in it so I just so of sprinkle the teeniest amoutns
I am using more vinegars and tha helps-
I don't add salt in food while cooking- of course that is an easy one

I am right now challenging myself to avoid sugary foods. I started that challenge about 10 days ago, but I am not succesfull all the time, I failed on 3 days.

Thanks White-Green!

I'm using Nutritarian way of eating as home base- meaning I shoot for 100% most days but am ok with a little drift

-I eat a salad at least 5 days a week

-I am training for my half marathon on June 29

-I decided to ditch scale - until 7/9- a good amount of time in which I have made good decisions and see where my body is in pounds-18 weeks from now

-I am still struggling with coffee- because I find it addictive-meaning once I have it in the morning I want more and my DH gets half and half and I find it difficult to not put that in it..so I am trying to either switch to tea/decaf and caf and drink it black..or maybe a home made creamer- the commercial ones have sugar and fillers-so yuk

-and I continue to avoid salt..which has been getting better lately

-I quit drinking any alcohol - may have a drink here or there after 7/9

-no snacking
