I took a 90 minute walk the day before yesterday, but I didn't get out to walk yesterday. I have to get out before the heat of the afternoon sun.

Today was a good day. I went for a couple of short walks in the afternoon and then went for a 1,5 hr walk with my sister in the early evening.

Definitely a lot better than nothing, REJ!
I keep thinking about that study I read about walking and diabetes: there were two groups and the group that walked for 10 minutes after each meal did a lot better (better blood sugar levels) than the group that walked for 30 minutes once a day, at any time they wanted.
Since I read that I try to walk my dog right after my meals! (I don't have diabetes but it does run in my family).

Yesterday I had 55 minutes of exercise: 10 cleaning and the rest walking.
23 + 5 makes 28 points.

On June 15 I did 69 minutes of walking and cleaning.

On June 16 I did 120 minutes of walking and biking!

So that's another 6+12=18 points, plus 5, makes a total of 23 points.

Oh, sure, REJ, if you don't feel like counting points, by all means don't. Just do what suits you. Just have fun with sharing about your exercise, that's all that matters.

I like to count points because I can then get an overview of how I am doing and either feel proud, or realize just what I need to do to improve. I tend to only compare myself to myself and not bother how much or how little other people are doing as I know we are all unique individuals. But I like to notice if I'm meeting my own expectations!

Yesterday, I enjoyed a 1,5 hr walk with my sister. emoticon

I won't be counting points though. It feels too much like the "tracking" I did for so many years, and that I no longer need to do now that I am a nutritarian. Even though I appreciate having a place to log in what I eat and the movement I get, I want to keep it very simple. I hope that's ok.

How does it work?
Every day or every few days, post here how much exercise you got. Per 10 minutes of exercise, give yourself 1 point.

Add up the points as you go along. We're half way through June but that does not matter; it will be motivating and interesting to see your points add up!
