1. eat more salad (at least 1 salad as your main course, daily) emoticon

Yesterday was definitely NOT a nutritarian day. We had a huge extended-family get-together. The weather was absolutely perfect. We had a wonderful day! Lots of games and chatter... and food. I did make better choices than I would have if I had not been a nutritarian, and I did not overeat, but I did not follow the nutritarian guidelines yesterday.

Hi Minnie. I was diabetic and the nutritarian way of eating has enabled me to get off all meds for diabetes (with my doctor's approval, of course). I am careful not to overdo the fruits, but I have found that grains (bread, pasta, muffins) cause my blood sugar to spike much more than fruits do. I've also found that the frequency of eating makes a difference. Eating twice a day is very effective, but especially not eating more than 3 times per day (no snacking). Whenever we eat, our pancreas releases insulin. Dr. Fuhrman also recommends having an early supper and, of course, not eating in the evening. So many things impact our A1C. I wish you well on your journey!

i tried doing this and my a1c went up higher than ever. i need to have more protein and less fruit.

Keep your EYE ON THE BALL. What is the goal?Will this action get you closer?

Post here, daily if you want, but at least once a week about your intake of the salad, beans, green veggies, nuts & seeds, mushrooms, onions and fruits.
