I had errands to run today, and I walked (about an 45-60 min.) rather than taking the car. I'm glad I did!

I've haven't been getting any exercise for the last 3 days. emoticon No excuses, just didn't do anything. But today, my sister was available and we did go for a long walk (about 2 hrs.), braving the strong winds and always checking the dark clouds above our heads. Finally, the brewing storm seems to have blown over, because we only received a few drops of rain.

I have been exercising -

Today-
2 mile run with a little walk before and after.
Yoga for runners after
Bike to pool- 2 miles
Swam 1/2 hour laps
Sauna for 10 minutes
Bike home- 2 miles

Rebecca: Already freezing weather... with snow? YUCK! I'm glad you were able to get back to warmer temperatures and that you got a nice walk in. Is that a photo of your place? WOW! Lots of space to take walks around there!

I took another delightful walk (about 2 hrs) with my sister, on this beautiful, sunny Fall day. Most of the brilliant leaves on the trees just 3 days ago have already fallen to the ground. I'm really glad I've been taking advantage of the beautiful weather and "getting out there".

Missed you all. Went into hybernation mode on the freezing with snow day which was indeed a 60 something degree drop in less than 24 hours.
With the sun shining on this 74 degree day a KJ walk with dear dog was a welcome back to Autumn.
You all are doing awesome! It is inspiring.

We've been having beautiful, sunny Fall weather all week, and I'm delighted that my sister and I have going out for our walk every day so far. (about 2 hours) Yesterday, her 10-year-old grandson joined us.

emoticon White-green! life can get hectic sometimes- thanks for crating these challenges!

REJ- we had house inspected. High levels of all kinds of mold and extensive electrical work and some structural things. We are going to create an addendum and things need to be fixed and mold remediated to our satisfaction or we will walk away from deal.
-it is too bad it is a sellers market and low inventory or I would just keep looking.

SO! we shall see..

Today I did an 8 mile walk and run. I walk until one stop sign on bike path and then run until next etc and covered 8 miles

Very nice to see all your results and posts on this thread. I decided to not take part in this exercise challenge for lack of time, and because I know I am getting in all the exercise I can right now; I keep track of my exercise minutes privately and I know I get between 350 and 500 minutes a week.

I enjoyed a delightful 2-hour walk with my sister by the lake again on this gorgeous Fall day. We're trying to squeeze in as many walks as we can before the Winter ice and cold. My sister snapped a photo of me as we were leaving the park.

My exercise today was preparing for freeze warning tonight. Hooking up battery tender to my 45 year old 450sl. Harvesting the rest of the tomatoes and clearing gardens of those and the string bean vines. Getting all ready for trash pick-up.
All the while was savoring the sun and warmth before predicted 66 degree temperature drop...oh my!! emoticon

Are we the only ones exercising or just the only ones posting?

Yesterday was enjoyed outdoors clearing out the squash garden before the big freeze coming this Friday. While out there it morphed into clearing the patio, driveways etc. It was a nice workout change.

Today took my dear Kiowa on KJ walk after lunch. My bicycle has been idle...or is that me?
Anyway it is time to savor the season's transitions. emoticon

I went for a 1-hour walk with my sister in the late afternoon. And even though I haven't gone walking in the last 2 days, I did do 10 and 15 minutes respectively on the stationary bike.

The lake looked so peaceful in the early evening.

There are a number of awesome reasons to do my walks in Kangoo Jumps...like the caloric burn can be up to 80% more than without them, they are personal shock absorbers giving joints freedom from percussion and oh my they are lots of fun.

Did another KJ walk today with my dear Kiowa going further that yesterday, inspired by lovely blue sky and sunshine.

I went for a 1-hr walk with my sister by the lake in the late afternoon. Here's a photo of the sunset as we were leaving the park.



I've also moved my stationary bike back into the living room so that I can do at least 10 minutes of biking (hopefully more) when I don't go for a walk.

You have two options for the October exercise challenge:

A. Post here, daily if you can, but at least once a week, how you did with exercise: share how long you exercised and what kind of exercise you did.

B. Pick some sort of exercise that you've been wanting to do but have been putting it off for some reason. Share what kind of exercise it is and come up with the smallest step(s) you can take to do more of this type of exercise. Then start taking these steps! Post here how you did with your efforts!
