I made a sort of LATE resolution last year, beginning around the first of February.

My sister became a vegetarian, and I had always kind of wanted to give it a whirl, almost as a challenge to myself to get better about finding my protein in sources other than meat.

I became a "pescatarian" (seafood is the only meat I eat) in February of 2012 and stuck with it-- and plan to stick with it for good now! I'm now obsessed with Morningstar and Gardein products, eat so much healthier, and feel great! I met my boyfriend in February of last year, and he started doing it with me!

This year, he and I have set very "strict" resolutions for ourselves. He will run at least 2 miles every day (ugh, I hate running), and I will do 30 mins of cardio every day and stay within my calories ranges 6 days per week. We call the one "freebie" day "Date Night", and go out to dinner just the two of us, and indulge a little. It may seem extreme, but this is my year, I can feel it... And hell, I'm ready to work for it!!

Carol, it makes plenty of sense to me. They say a "proper" goal should have a timeline, but there are some goals that we don't know how long they are gonna take!! So I just like that you are persistent at getting them done, however long it takes!

And Betsy, I really like that... Getting those knees fixed up will go a long way toward a happier healthier you in the long run. Way to go!!

I made a resolution last year to go to a doctor about my knees, went through physical therapy for them and now have had my first surgery at the beginning of December. I made that goal so that I can continue to try and exercise and lose weight.

One down, one to go! Even though I am still recovering from the first one!

Never really made serious New Years Resolutions. As for goals, well, I just keep working at something. Seems I get frustrated when I make goals and don't reach them. I just continue to do my best and eventually get where I want to go.
Does this make any sense???

So I am curious, who can tell us about a News Years Resolution that they successfully kept in the past? Or any important goal, whether it was big or small?
