i start the job wed afternoon for paperwork and training and all that

i registered for classes yesterday .. am tempted to add one today or retake one that i'm not doing so well in this quarter. i've decided to take a 0 on a large project b/c i was sick and never got around to doing it .. and there's another large project due Wed ... not to mention all the stuff due in the other two classes

date did try to ask me out last night but i had to decline b/c of so much school work

and now i'm up at 5a trying to see what i can get done before classes start at 8a

I'm glad things are going your way, Kimberly! I, too, have been experiencing a good patch in my life right now and it feels wonderful. I hope everyone here has the same feelings about life as I do right now... Be grateful for what you have and never take anything for granted. You don't know what you've got until it's gone. Appreciate the small things in life and always look at the big picture. God has a plan for all of us, and sometimes things might not seem like they're going our way, but we must endure struggles and reach for the good things in life and for God's hand in our help.

hi all. i think i'm feeling better or i'm just delusional :-)

mom's orders to take it easy and go take a nap after a snack.. so that's what i'm about to do.

at least the sun is shining today .. too bad it's only 11*F

-- can't remember what i've put on here or where ... but there's stuff in my blog since mid-dec about trying to move, roommate issues, cleaning, etc.... i think i can finally see the light at the end of the proverbial tunnel

Wow, Kimberly, take care of yourself and try not to overdo things. Have you talked with your roommates about the cleanliness of your home? That alone could be keeping you sick! Just be careful and get lots of rest if you can. (((((HUGS)))))

i'm still sick, no improvement, even after inhaler and sleep. pure exhaustion. classes were cancelled today but i didn't have any .. if i can get to the doc tomorrow i'm going to go back like he suggested and go from there. i have to mentally let go of the honor roll this quarter b/c i've missed too much.

supposedly roommate is a licensed maid .. well she has let this place get gross so i'm attempting to clean it to my standards

the other two roommates don't seem to care one little bit about it

my roommate my friend is the one that had issues with us moving in .. now i can see why

and i went from 3+ years sedentary mental illness to 1st qtr school for another degree very very quickly and there was non-stop drama since that last Sept weekend. i had hoped moving would solve a lot. not yet. i'm notoriously sick in Jan but this year it's been all different things none of which really could i have planned for.

my brain is so frazzled at the moment i don't know what i've told who where...

i was living in SE Ohio .. Sept 27 of 2013 i moved into student housing (regular apartments) in Cincinnati and started classes at The Art Institute of Ohio - Cincinnati ... i was/am (until april 7) getting an Associates Degree in Web Design & Interactive Media .. I just bumped up to get a Bachelors of Fine Arts in the same field.

i've been trying to get things sorted out since mid dec and it seems with all the new faculty and staff that noone entirely knows the whole procedure to anything .. so it's been frustrating.

i've also had a bad time procrastinating things.

Fall qtr was filled with lots and lots of emotional roommate and friend drama ... as has this qtr which started Jan 13th ..

well Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun we finally got moved into a cleaner, quieter space .. but there's still lots of cleaning that needs done ... and still some drama with the person i moved in with ... all i can do at this point is watch my friend self-destruct .. it sucks

and of course now i'm feeling sick from being around sick people all weekend and over-exerting myself with all the emotion and frustrations and moving

i just emailed my profs and groups saying i might not make it tomorrow .. i really feel like i'm going to go to sleep tonight and wake up some time tomorrow night. i'm exhausted and my brain is mush. i don't know which is worse procrastinating homework to clean to feel healthy .. but the OCD mental health is deteriorating b/c i'm not getting everything done and organized .. and the time management part is screaming b/c it feels like i'm doing the wrong stuff that isn't priority ... but right at the moment it all feels priority

sigh

but that's what life is about ... figuring out what is important ....

thankfully i've had the past year and some change to be at home doing nothing of priority .. and taking the time to learn about how to eat better and add new habits and get more active .. and therefore healthier and stronger ... mentally .. physically .. emotionally .. financially .. etc....

hey all. sorry i'm not keeping up as well as usually do.

we finally got moved into a NICE place this weekend. it took longer than I expected and there was tension. but we're all calming down.

i can't take the time to deep clean so therefore i can't get much put away yet ... and i have a TON of tedious school project and tests TOMORROW so all that other stuff including food shopping is getting backburnered. priorities .. school first.

think i finally got my academic transfer credits headed in the right direction .. so whew!

things definitely looking up today .. i don't like repeating myself .. so it's in a blog i just posted

hating this cold weather - or as HS chem teacher would say ''lacking heat" ... well it's seriously LACKING HEAT out there! i froze my fingers trying to put windshield washer fluid in the car.

i'm definitely here for the long journey ... it wasn't a fast weight loss ... just steady .. over time ... started with small steps .. add a new healthier food or habit here and there .. results happen

thanks TMREED. it's been a frustrating ordeal for sure.

so while trying to avoid being angry all weekend I've decided to regroup and do healthier things FOR ME. and to stop trying to please everyone else.

part of this includes realizing i'm healthy enough now to go get a job .. even while earning this BFA degree. soo...


Cincinnati (Mason/Loveland) area peeps: I'm beginning to look for a part-time job while I attend school. It's become blatantly obvious that I need an income to pay for various things (like tuition, supplies, gasoline, car maintenance, etc...). And quite possibly move into a non-student-housing apartment in April.

I'm already searching as I know how but I welcome suggestions if you know of something. Thanks!

I've previously worked all kinds of jobs from cashier, office staff, customer service, software product manager, software coder, report writer, database management, lifeguard, etc....

my post was eaten by a power outage.

we were dicked over with housing. i'm not mentally ready and maybe not even physically ready but i'm seriously contemplating getting a job while going to school to get enough money to get my own apartment here in cincy.

i know the better option is to just breathe and let things work themselves out this coming week but they've been saying they'd get us two in to a new place since mid-December. i'm really sick of checking a place out and saying yes only to find out the next day or sooner that something changed and it's no longer available. it's beyond frustrating!

Yes, it's been super cold... so cold that our pets have been brought inside each night so that they don't freeze to death! I haven't kept up on the weather reports, but I heard that we're supposed to have more of this poo. I hope you all keep warm and keep your pets safe!

let's have a daily chat in here ... like a running dialog of what you're doing that day/week .. /however often you sign in :-)

we still have no idea where we are moving to .. each time we think we have something sorted out something changes .. it's becoming a nightmare and we have been disappointed for quite awhile. no idea really why it's this difficult.

so i'm forcing myself to work on stuff i need to get done anyways and not focus on packing or waiting and the unknown.

"cold" doesn't begin to cover the brutal weather out there .... i think i wore 3 layers of almost every item I was wearing and I still about got frostbite on fingers and toes.

TMREED: Hi...where in the Cinci area do you live? I live in Wyoming and also have a fitbit. I'd love to have someone to challenge me on Fitbit. You are WAY ahead of me, but that is OK. You'd be good for me to strive toward, if you wouldn't mind.

ALL: I'm sorry....I got the Spark Mail from our leader but I forget to even look at the mail indicator on the top of the page and just saw the one from Dec. today!

I'm looking forward to getting to know you via SP, and maybe even someday, meeting in person. I have already met a few gals from other states that I have gotten to know via SP. It would be a lot easier meeting folks from nearby...at a coffee shop or Panera....or even better...Winton Woods to walk!

I, too, struggle with eating...mostly it is a sugar addiction. I almost feel like I need to go to AA. There are so many similarities except that the damage to others is much more delayed ....although you can make a pretty good case for it when you think of the toll obesity takes on our lives.

A couple of years ago I lost 80 lbs. but I have gained half of it back (arrrgggg!) and am struggling to regain control and find a way to LIVE in control. I know that exercise is a big part of that and I'm beginning (again) with walking. (the photo here is when I was on my way down two plus years ago...I think about 15 before I got to my low point...so about 25 lighter than I am now. ) Jo

i definitely did not perk up. i think i'm on my 4th or so different round of antibiotics now and have maintained almost 100 degree fever all weekend. I'm sure there's more days of this so all i can do is try to mentally prepare for another week of exhaustion.

i did decide yesterday to try to drop one art project class and add on something less intense. my overwhelming burden started lifting almost immediately which was nice. school doesn't open back up until tomorrow .. which is also the last day to add/drop since we're on 11 week quarters. hopefully we get something figured out.

WOW on 10000 steps a day and now 12000!! that's terrific! .. if you haven't already you might think about joining the team goal of walking 3 miles a week. i changed it yesterday down from 10 miles a week that seemed a little daunting but maybe only for some of us :-)

-- i got a SparkTracker (SPAT) awhile back and it does have the benefit of a visual reminder for me to get up and walk around .. and if at the end of the day i'm short on my 4000 steps I'll walk around the complex or my living room or something. I also walk the halls at my school during class breaks. and if the weather is nice i'll walk the mile to and from apt/school.

I am from Cincinnati and go to fitworks
I did get a fitbit I was doing 10000 steps per day but moved it up to 12000 a day. This hsa been helpful
my weakness is my food this is where i need help.
