Poindextra, it's amazing how quickly you are healing - you are an inspiration!

Maybe TMI. Today was test day - mammogram, then virtual colonoscopy. SO glad both are over and done with. But I've taken it easy today, both eating and exercise - my stomach is just not happy with any kind of stress or disruption. So yogurt, and simple carbs, and one scrambled egg - foods that are pretty easy to digest.

And I"m just tired. (Set the alarm for 3 AM to drink the last medical prep stuff - I swear this one tasted like airplane glue!!!!!)

I got back to the gym this morning and it felt good.
I couldn't seem to get myself to focus at work, though. My brain didn't understand how to turn my notes into actions. The good thing was I had a dentist appointment to get to, so I can partially blame my lack of productivity on that.
I hope my brain fog clears up, or that I don't need my brain tomorrow.

Back from our vacation! Overall I was pretty good with my eating. I didn't really gain much. I was perfect with my eating plan for the first week and a half, but during the last few days I had a few things here and there. I think the few pounds I gained was probably just water retention. Im not too concerned. The cool thing about being at my inlaw's that I learned was that they are very played back. It's pretty much just help yourself if you get hungry. The only sit down family meal was dinner. So no one noticed that I wasn't snacking when they did. I never eat breakfast anyways, but that wasn't even a problem!

One thing that helped was before we left for our trip I wrote down a few key things to remind myself, little motivators, and I took a picture of it and used it as my screen saver. Whenever I felt tempted I looked at it and remembered why I was making good choices.

It feels so good to be home! It feels good to be back in my comfortable environment, back to routine.

The kids were really well behaved on the trip. It took us 3 days to drive over, and my 2 year old Silas only started fussing 3 hours from the inlaw's house! But we found out what was wrong and he was happy again. And on the way home we drove straight through, from Munising Michigan to Moses Lake Washington, took about 27 hours. Silas started fussing 20 minutes from home. So he did really great! The kids slept most of the way back, the trip went fast.

Weigh in is Friday for me, I think it will be pretty good! We were pretty active on vacation.

Hope everyone has a great night!

Today I am going to get part of the house cleaning done. I'd rather not do it myself but I hate having people in who do it badly.

Nothing planned today still having quiet days just getting things cleaned up and enjoying the nice weather

Great exercise day yesterday. After TRX, hubby wanted to go to the park and walk. emoticon Had another showing last night. We are getting the people in, just no offers. Today is my circuit training class, walking to and from. Then we go pick up hubby’s truck and I have a haircut this afternoon. No pool time yesterday. Probably not today either. Oh well, there is always tomorrow!

Wow! Miss a day, you miss a lot! I forgot to check in yesterday! Catching up on everyone here.

I'm loving the less humid weather as well. Sunday, I did a 10K and it was 68 at race time. I wore a tank top and capri running pants and it felt wonderful. I finished the race and kept going for four more miles to hit my 10-mile training distance for that day. The last couple miles were tough.

Last night I noticed my Nike running app updated and it blew away my login AND the remainder of my half marathon training plan. It wouldn't let me set it back up for the race date Sept 25 because it's too close. I saw a lot of angry comments from other users in the same boat.

Nike sent out a link to a PDF training plan that is a bit horrendous to read through. I told myself this morning to stop being a baby. I'm going over the horrible PDF today and searching other online free plans.

Must keep moving foward! emoticon

Our garage door opener is broken, I can't even disconnect the cable and lift it by hand. I have a rush repair coming (for an extra fee) because I have to be able to get my car out to get Mom to the doc.

Good morning all, yesterday was a good day with my first trip back to the gym. I sure have missed that routine. Today is housecleaning and assorted chores around the house and of course some patio gardening. My flowers look like they missed me.
Happy Tuesday all!

Happy Tuesday everyone,

I'm happy that I'll be going into the office this afternoon for a couple of meetings. A co-worker will pick me up at home, and hubby will collect me on his way home from work. I'll do a couple of hours remotely this morning, so should get a solid 4 or 4.5 hours in today.

Also, I played plano for a few minutes yesterday - Bach, so I didn't need to pedal. I don't think I'll be ready to pedal for a couple more weeks:).

The hip is feeling better and better, but I doubt I'll be able to drive before my next Dr. appointment on the 8th. It's my right leg, so I don't want to rush that.

Have a great day everyone!

Good morning! Tuesday means that two out of five mornings are done, and they are the worst part.

Thank you all for the condolences. The puppy was a family pet that spent time with many of us over the years that we had her, but my dad was very attached and is feeling lost without her (he's retired, so the dog gives him a routine). I think he'll get another soon, but I wish that he'd wait a bit as they are getting ready to downsize their home, and he'll be having day surgery in 2 weeks. But he'll do what he wants...

TEQPEACH - I did 30 strict days of Whole 30 that ended in mid-June. I bounced around for awhile after that mostly eating Whole 30, but after 3 weeks of being mostly away from my home environment, I went back on strict Whole 30 for 21 days (through my birthday this weekend). It's worked for me. As long as you follow the rules, eating is pretty simple.

Hope that everyone has a good one!

My sympathy to you, Jamirblaze, for the loss of your dog. I'm glad it went gently.

Yesterday was unbelievably productive and made it possible for me to forget my ebony hair. the hardest part is whenever I pass a mirror. A great lesson in the foolishness of vanity.

It was way too pretty to exercise in a gym yesterday. Instead I went home early and walked my own dogs, out across the harvested fields. They love to chase sticks and when the crops get a certain height I don't throw them any more because they'll knock down the crops. Now we have lots of dog playground for them. We are promised more hot weather for the weekend but at least we will have these few halcyon days. I'm getting the "Time To Make Plans" urge as September draws nigh. I think I'll go get my notebook.

Terrific Tuesday To You All.

Hey - I actually logged in and tracked my food this morning! My 14-year old house guest is still asleep (thank goodness) and I've managed to get a few things done. I've been eating ok, but haven't tracked anything since the first day he came. I do see why it's best to have your kids when you're young! :)

Good morning.

This morning the cleaners come. Hubby will go out to breakfast to get away from the chaos and my sister and I will endure the hour. This afternoon we'll take Mom to the doc. I just hope Mom doesn't wear pantyhose under her trousers to go to a foot doctor. I've told her not to, but she'll forget and tell me how she ALWAYS wears pantyhose, they be upset that a doc will want them off.

Maree, a trip to the hairdresser always lifts the spirits!

Good morning!

I woke up early and made the mistake of reading my work email. I have spent the past one and a half hours responding to and catching up on yesterday's, Saturday's and Friday's emails. A little too busy.

I enjoyed everyone's posts from yesterday and had to laugh at many of them. Jamirblaze, my heart goes out to you on the loss of your family pet.

CrossFit class, traveling for work, and an appointment with my hairdresser at 5 o'clock! Money well spent! emoticon LOL!

Hope all have a great day!!
