I knew I didn't want to go back to work today. Left after 930pm; I'm SO tired!! If this is what the day after a 3-day weekend looks like, I'll never take 3 days off again!

Poindextra, glad to hear your MIL is in a better facility that can meet her needs!

Nell, I woke up yesterday with a scrape and bruise on my nose! I remember my glasses falling off and I tried to catch them and kind of missed - but I thought I hit myself in the forehead as I tried to catch them. No idea how I scraped my nose!!!

Glad that the MIL is in a better facility.

Got back to my exercise classes today and will walk tomorrow morning. We have errands and medical appointments tomorrow so I need to get out early. The weight is going up instead of coming down. Partly from being too busy but partly from being down about the DH health issues. I have plans for the next few days and will work on it day by day

Fall type weather is starting and it is lovely, not colorful but very pleasant

Good morning everyone!

I'm happy to repoer that MIL was finally moved to the big city hospital last night. The delay was because they were so full they were turning away ambulances! I hope things move quickly now to get her surgery and on the mend. I'll call FIL to check in when I'm done writing this.

That's all for now.
Habe a great day everyone!

It is definitely fall here in British Columbia. I love the cooler evenings for sleep and even the darker mornings as I do sleep longer. I love fall and enjoy those lovely warm days that sneak in.
Maree you are inspiring me to do some more Decluttering thst is awaiting me in my closet. We have pictures tucked away in there that need foing through. When you are in a home you have room for all this stuff but now it is tucked away and really needs my attention. Do I have the energy to do it today? We will see.
I have never used the library for my Kindle but I do need to check into it.
Kelly sorry about the sinuses. I hope the honey helps.
Terri, good luck with the house. I know you just want to know what you are doing.
We had last minute company for dinner last night so this has ended up being a very busy weekend. I am ready for a low key day.

Happy Tuesday! Long weekend could've been a little longer, but back at it. Walked into evidence of a leak in the office. Had to check the rest of the office, but luckily the building manager was there when I walked out, and it is already being cleaned up.

Nell - Still in the midst of a search for a good concealer, I've tried dozens of different ones over the years. I'd stay away from most liquid concealers (most of what is sold), and look for a cream or stick. Liquids are too sheer generally and many are designed to brighten the under eye, though sticks and creams can be dry or heavy. The Revlon Photo Ready stick is decent, and I have heard good things about the new one from Almay. I usually rely on my makeup to cover up most discoloration, as I haven't found a concealer that works very well for blemishes, etc. and doesn't exaggerate fine lines or become textured/patchy over time. If it is very dark (like very dark under eye circles), you may have to color correct and also conceal. If you like light makeup, but need some coverage, I really like the IT Cosmetics CC cream. It seems gimmicky, but it's as good or better than some very high end foundations that I have tried, and generally covers up most of my face discoloration (eye darkness, melasma, redness) without any help. My two cents, FWIW. I'm a bit of a hobbyist when it comes to make up.

Maree - I hope you enjoy Whole 30. I don't 100% buy all of the science (I'm a skeptic of a lot of dietary science), but I think a lot of it lines up with some of what I have experienced.

I have so far stuck to 10K steps a day so far this month, though I haven't been as active during the day every day as I would like. Easing back into Chalean Extreme for my ST and cardio on non lifting days.

Hope that everyone has a good one!

Maree - it depends on your reader. If your library is using the Overdrive software, though, their app is pretty good for most readers. Kindle is the most specific - download theirs if you also buy from Amazon.

Toni - I had that same reluctance to start the day. I have back to back meetings today anyway so it's not going to be the most productive day - and I also have a personal issue to bring up with a loved one. Must do it. Won't be easy. Good for you Terri for sorting your clothes - I know I have to do the major overhaul of the attic one day .. but I will save it for next year - at Tara. Hope your allergies treat you kindly Kelli - and everyone else who sneezes and coughs.

I love all the seasons but Fall is my Favorite. and goodness I better run. Took the dogs for a walk this a.m. and now it's time to dress for werk. Hugs all around.

Up again early. At least I am going to bed earlier so still getting some decent sleep. Hopefully today we will find out more of what we can do (and the potential cost) of the items the buyer has requested (and what we can simply not do). emoticon

I have my circuit training class this morning but am not yet sure if I am going to go. My head is telling me to go. There is nothing I can do here but wait. My emotions are telling me that I will just be anxious there waiting to hear. Stay tuned to see who wins. emoticon emoticon

Had a good step day yesterday. Went through one of my closets and sorted through the keep and give away pile for my cowboy clothes (it is for a hobby hubby and I participate in). I used the ziplock vacuum bags for the ones I am keeping. It all fit in 2 bags. I emoticon it!

Poindextra ~ I think it really makes a difference on your fitness level. When I was this weight before (for a very brief time), hubby thought I was too thin. Now he says I look the best ever. emoticon

Nell ~ I need to check out my trophies. Iím on day 1814. emoticon Your library is set up just like mine.

Bess ~ emoticon on the year of logging in.

Donna ~ We were cooling down. Now it seems the temps are rising again. emoticon

Toni ~ I love it. I am looking forward to getting a wet suit and boogie board when we move. I will be a boogie boarding nana! emoticon

Cat ~ emoticon

Sunny ~ What a great day. As a kid, we used to get together with our neighbors all the time. Now, not at all. emoticon

Dee ~ emoticon

Maree ~ My library uses Overdrive. I donít know if that is specific to my library or not. They donít have the Whole 30 book. I did read ďIt Starts with FoodĒ. Need to buy the Whole 30 book. emoticon

Kellie ~ No other options emoticon

Keeping fingers crossed we get good news today on the house issues. I know they wonít be resolved in a day, I just want a game plan!

Mornin' team mates,

Started my day with some journaling on the dock. It was early and lovely and quiet. Now I'm heading into the day that will require a bit more "surge" than I'm feeling at the moment...so looking for my mojo while I pack up and head back to civilization. Feeling for the kids who are heading back to homework land. I loved school and hated homework! Anyone with me on that?

Fie on those Fall allergens, Kellie. So sorry you are suffering. There's not quite enough fall here yet, but it is coming When my youngest was home and prone to Fall asthma we started him on Claritan in August, on our way home from the beach. Helped him a lot. But that build up period was needed so to me it sounds like your early honey routine is a good thing. Sure hope it works for you.

Now off I go to look for that mojo... Hope you find yours too, team.

Mornin all. It's goign to be a busy day. Back to reality after a wonderful long weekend. Celebrated DH's birthday with dinner out Saturday, a motorcyle ride with friends Sunday and a relaxing day in the yard yesterday.

If someone offered to surgical remove my sinuses right now, I'd take them up on it and I HATE the thought of any surgery. I'm miserable in the fall. I started taking raw, locally grown honey a couple weeks ago but that takes months to kick in. Fingers crossed for a better fall next year.

Have a terrific Tuesday!

Good morning. The cleaning team will be here in a hour. This is the last of the really chilly mornings for another week. It is a little depressing to get up in the dark again.

I take hubby to the endocrinologist at 11. His blood sugar has been high for months now, I don't know what happens next. I'm told that all Type 2 diabetics become both Type 1 and Type 2 at some point. He has a dental appointment, a crown prep, at 3, so I doubt he'll be wanting to join the motorcycle club at Cracker Barrel tonight.

I noticed a big bruise on my jaw on Saturday, and I have no idea what caused it. The only makeup I have is sheer, and isn't covering the bruise. I need to get to Ulta anyway for nail polish, let's see what kind of concealer they have for me.

Maree, check your library's webpage or call them. I think every library has a different ap for each type of reader. The book has to disappear after the 2 or 3 week checkout period, so every library system is a little different. At my library, the book is still there, I just can't read it after 3 weeks unless I renew, and if there is a waiting list it might take awhile.

Good morning!

The sun is sleeping in today, so I did, too. I guess the shorter days are upon us.

We spent the night at the houseboat and are driving back this morning. DH is going to work and I'm starting my to do list. Donations this morning. I'll have more by the end of the week.

Beautiful day on the houseboat yesterday. DH 's mother, stepdad and half sister with baby girl all took a boat ride with us. They were in town for the wedding. I served lots of fruit and have some leftover--watermelon and grapes. They were surprised to learn that the dip for the strawberries was merely vanilla yogurt.

No crossfit this week. I'll be walking and/or running outside and working like crazy on the house. That's the plan anyway.

And reading a Whole 30 book. I need to download an app to read the book I downloaded from the library. Any recommendations?

Hope all have a great day!
