We had a great day just wandering around Jackson, Wy. Art festival tomorrow then we will head up to National Park on Sunday to check things out. Being good about choices we bought salads at the grocery store for dinner. Trying to stay out of the bakeries.

Good morning all, Maree, your weekend sounds great. I know you can handle the fish fry.
Dalid, hope the eye heals quickly so you can get back to the pool.
Bess, I am the exact opposite......I need to walk more but I do get enough ST at the gym. Will have to work on that.
Jamirblaze, it never hurts to look especially if you are not hapoy where you are.
Kelli, I hope the time comes when you can travel with your hubby on your bikes. It sounds freeing!!
Terri, that is the good thing about moving. You finally have to go through all your stuff" and decide if you really need all this. Especially all the things our kids leave behind. Good luck with the lacking!
We are off on our little trip this weekend and I am looking forward to it. It's my birthday today so a change in scenery will be fun. No celebrating......but hubby never forgets!!
Hapoy Friday all!

Good morning all. I've been waking up with partially glued together eyelids! Gross, I know.
I think I'm looking at a VERY L-O-N-G day today. The boss will be out ALL next week so it'll be a multiple meeting kinda day.
I'm not sure if I should plan an active weekend or relax and help the eye heal along.
TGIF!!

We had a surprise yesterday when hubby went up to bring down some boxes we had stored in the attic. There was more up there than we thought, of course. And there were 4 huge garbage bags of my daughterís clothes plus another 4 huge garbage bags filled with her stuffed toy collection. Neither hubby nor I remember putting that up there. She moved over 15 years ago. And now does not want any of it. emoticon Luckily we have a donation pickup scheduled for Monday.

Today is my WW day and a planned ST workout. The POD comes tomorrow so Iíd like to get more boxes packed so we are ready to load on Sunday. We have scheduled the pickup of the POD on Wednesday. We will be living in our house like it is a hotel room for several days. It should all work out just fine. emoticon

Donna ~ Have a superb emoticon game.

Kellie ~ Hang in there. Have a fantastic run. emoticon

Sharon ~ Nice on the emoticon I ran one once. No more running long distance in my future. Knee and heel just wonít take it. Iíve had two surgeries and no more!

Phebess ~ When is your Hawaii trip? emoticon

Dee ~ Simply a gentle reminder. Back on track. emoticon

Maree ~ It is never to early to check our your retirement. emoticon

Poindextra ~ If you shared, I forgot. emoticon Are you going somewhere on your vacation?

Bess ~ Yeah for your gym visit. emoticon

JamirBlaze ~ Happy job hunting. emoticon

Sipping my coffee and sparking. Life is good.

Oh the thought of retirement! Sounds wonderful... DH and I traveling the country on our motorcycles, taking in sites, sounds and smells. Alas, I have quite a few years to go. So must stay on course staying healthy so that I can enjoy it when it comes. Phebs is my role model!

Work has been a challenge to my balance this week. Even with 2 days off, it has felt like a long week. Looking forward to a 13 mile run tomorrow. EESH! The Chicago Half is NINE days away. I can't even believe this!

Happy Friday all!

HAPPY FRIDAY!!! My weird week made this week feel like two Mondays. So looking forward to the weekend. The guy is home not feeling well, so I may try to sneak out a little early so I can make dinner and all of that.

Found a couple of postings at a place that I'd love to work for some things tangentially related to what I do. Got to dust off the resume and see what happens.

Dee - Happy healing!

Bess - Learning and wrapping up on era for me too, I think. I just don't have a timeline to freedom. emoticon

Phebess - I hope your DH continues to improve. Looking forward to your Hawaii blogs. The guy and I have talked about a two week trip there in a couple of years.

Hope that everyone has an excellent day and a great weekend!

Good morning maintainers. It looks like everyone here is looking forward to the weekend. Dee - I hope your eyes heal swiftly and you are swimming again soon. I think it's fascinating how many of us are trying new things, learning new things, taking lessons. Music, cooking, swimming. Even learning how to use new software. I'd always rather been in the learning mode but for the next year, while I hope I am learning things, I will really be in the clean-up mode - the finishing mode - the come to conclusion mode. Time to find a way to enjoy that process too - onancounta I gotta do it, joyfully or not.

I finally got to the gym yesterday. Been walking with the dogs after work for a while. It's good exercise but I know I need to get back to strength training. Somewhere around here there is a schedule I made up ...but there you have it - so much better at coming up with an idea than follow through.

sister and DiL will be here today - one for a visit one for werk. Lite werk, I hope.

Happy Friday everyone!

Dad arrives today - it will be great to visit with him for a couple of days before he heads off on the auto-train on Sunday.

Dalid, I hope your eye heals up quickly so you can get back to swimming
Toni, congratulations on 4 years of maintenance!

I got a new assignment at work (testing a product I haven't used much), so there's a lot to learn. I hope I can come up to speed quickly and help get some of the backlog cleared out before going on vacation next week. I'm still working part-time, so it will be interesting!

Maintenance is as much work as losing, but it has the advantage of allowing us to do it in cuter clothes - BESSHAILE

Good morning!

Interesting discussion on retirement. When I took this new position, I informally committed to work 10 yrs. I'm 1.5 years down. We'll see. I REALLY enjoyed my staycation. I probably need to check the retirement plan from a financial standpoint to see if I'm on track. DH is a lot younger than me and we haven't spent much time dreaming of what "retirement " will look like for us. Guess we should begin those discussions!

But for now, we're talking about our weekend on the houseboat and the fish fry with all the dock neighbors. There will be boiled shrimp, along with all the usual fried foods--onion rings, mushrooms, a pork tenderloin and of course, some catfish--flathead, the lobster of the Mississippi! Moderation shall be practiced as fried foods don't really sit well in my tummy.

Crossfit, busy day at work and heading out.

Wishing all a happy and healthy day, with healing thoughts going out to Dee and all others needing them! Run Sharon run! See Kellie run!

Hope all have a great Friiiiiday!!
