After stressing all last week and working both weekend days, my audit was cancelled today ***sigh*** Still had a full day today. I hope I can go home after the audit is over tomorrow. I need a break and some gym time!
Hard to believe its fall since it was in the 100s today!!

It took a bit over a year to sell my parents' house, if that helps. And yes, frustrating!

Kind of a quiet day here - got a haircut and a pedicure, always nice to feel pampered.

We can be pre-approved for a loan, but it's easy to screw it up. My neighbor down the street had a sales contract that fell out because the buyers had bought a bunch of furniture on credit before closing. That big purchase dinged their credit score enough to raise their interest rate, and they couldn't handle (or didn't want to handle) the higher payment. All they had to do was wait a couple of weeks to buy furniture. Fortunately there was a backup contract, and the new owners are very nice people.

Hi, Twrri, you must be anxious to get this over with. Talk about keeping you in limbo!! Losing on a house is so different in the US than Canada. We can be lee approved before we even go shopping. It seems to make more sense that what is happening to you. I hope is is all resolved very soon.
Bess, waking up at 1:30 and not going back to sleep is terrible. I hope you get your work issues resolved so you can sleep. Not a good way to start your week.
Nell, yes it is sock time but after the hot summer that has to be a relief. I actually like the cooler weather but maybe that is the Canadian in me!
Kelli, I have never been a runner but I can imagine when you have trained for so long it must be quite emotional when you finish and know you have done it. Especially for you when you were suffering with a tender tootsie. I glad it all worked out. A big congrats to you for a job well done! We were all thing about you.
Poindextra. Your weekend sounds like fun and now the holiday is almost here.
Sunny I saw on the weather a,warts that it was going to be windy and cool in your area. I gues you can't complain about a few off days.
Been to,the gym this morning then to,the opthamologist to check on my corneas. I do,have a problem that they have been watching for years so I get another reprieve from having a transplant. Apparently that is quite common. Glad I don't have to think about it for awhile.

POINDEXTRA you must be very excited, anxious, sleepless.

Terry it has been a journey to selling your house. Fingers crossed that it finishes soon.

Today we have temps in the 90's with predicted high winds. Unpleasant day and it is hard keeping the house all closed up. I am used to our 75 degree beach weather.

The art show was great, the artist was there talking about her work. A lot more than just putting paint on a canvas. Today is clean the house. This seems to come up a lot more often than I like. I just hate the way people clean my house but I may eventually have to find someone again. Right now I just add it into my workout minutes.

Happy Monday everyone!

We had a nice time yesterday. We did go to the Paterson Falls, and then drove Rte. 4 to 9W up to Piermont. Took the scenic route through the fancy parts of Bergen County home; the weather was perfect. Then our neighbors had a bday bbq for their family matriarch, who's now 78 years old, so we attended that too. We practically lived in wach other's houses as kids, so it was good to see most of the family again.

Today we plan to visit with an elderly uncle. He's either 92 or 93, and still going strong.

Tomorrow we head to the ship!

Terri, I hope all goes well with the loan.
Kelli, congrats on finishing; now it's time to rest and get that ankle looked at!

Hubby and I went to the gym yesterday. First time in forever. It was hard, but felt good. We also went to my Dad’s dance/birthday party. emoticon We celebrated with him on his actual birthday, but this one was planned by him and his dance community. It was fun and he had a great time.

Hubby and I are still pretty tired from all the packing and such. emoticon This is kind of a down time for us until we hear nay or yeah on the buyer’s loan. We have some errands to get done and I could really use a mani/pedi. Hubby will be able to go to his pool night tonight.

Not sure if we will go to the gym today. I could use some ST time emoticon so maybe I will go even if he doesn’t.

Donna ~ Trying to keep it all in perspective! emoticon

Sunny ~ How was the art show? emoticon

Phebess ~ I think I will be going to Hawaii in February to visit my niece and family. emoticon

Maree ~ Enjoy the fall weather. We’ve got hot again for the next several days. emoticon

Bess ~ I am with you on some sleepless nights. I try to get my mind right before sleep. Sometimes I am more successful than other times. emoticon

Nell ~ We did get the specifics. Apparently no one saw this coming. It was an interpretation of a break in service (he is a disable vet who works and goes to school). It seems that everyone except the underwriter does not agree there was a break in service. We have been told that the new lender has been briefed on the issue and doesn’t see a problem. We will see. emoticon

JamirBlaze ~ Time sure does fly by fast. emoticon

Kellie ~ emoticon emoticon emoticon

Life is somewhat back to normal in our big hotel room (that is my nickname for our house right now). Sipping coffee, eating a banana and sparking.

Hi all. Terri, sorry about the loan. Can't wait to hear more about your Italy trip Toni.

I took today off thank goodness. I'm moving pretty slow. I blogged about yesterday's half marathon. It still seems unreal that I did that. I think I may need to get my foot looked at. It does not seem to like to go more than 8 miles! But I was determined to finish.

After I crossed the finish line, I cried uncontrollably. I get teary finishing any race but this was full on crying, with chest heaving! A female medic wrapped her arms around me asking if I was okay, telling me this is normal and I did a great job and then put a cold wet towel around my neck. That felt really good and calmed me down.

My daughter started the day by posting an iMovie on Facebook that she put together with photos of races we have done together and photos of me with my running group, set to the song Shut Up and Dance by Walk the Moon. It was awesome and made me cry. I needed a lot of fluids yesterday haha!

I'm going to take a nap. Happy Monday all!

Good morning! Monday. Sigh. Never enough weekend! And definitely not enough sleep.

Nell-I've made great meals in teeny kitchens, but I much prefer my large one now. But it does encourage having more stuff than we need, and I work hard not to have food expire and be thrown out or to have stuff pile up.

Lots of stuff was packed into this weekend, so I'm hoping it get a chance to catch my breath this week! Hope everyone is well! Have a great day!

Good morning. It was 59 when I went down to get the paper this morning, won't even get up to 70 today. I need to pull my real shoes out, put my sandals away. We only have a 4 month reprieve from socks around here, I guess it's time. Rain later tonight, and oh do we need the rain!

The Redskins won yesterday, so that will be local conversation today rather than the debate tonight. The debate will be local conversation tomorrow. Atlanta and New Orleans fans will have to do a lot of switching back and forth tonight.

Terri, do you know why the lender rejected the loan? I had something like that happen in 1986. I sold a rental condo, contract in November, and the lender tossed the buyer's loan in December because of a previous bankruptcy the buyer had failed to disclose. They finally were able to close in February, but the tax law changed that year and a 1987 closing cost me $7000 in extra taxes over what I would have paid had they closed in December. Thank goodness that can't happen anymore, but I wonder what happened? The buyers know, will their agent tell your agent?

Time to make breakfast and get started.

What? Monday already? I haven't even slept Sunday night yet. At least - I woke at 1:30 and never could get back to sleep. Finally just got up and read a library book.

Terri - that's dreadful news about the loan but I'm very impressed by your calm attitude. Glad your SiL's accident was no worse. Whew. Phebess - just go on and make us jealous. Hawaii. Lucky girl you. I think I should make a plan. Kellie - When you're rested - tell us all about that race. We're promised 70 degree days too, Maree - but ran or clouds on most of them. There is a tarp over the new bathroom foundation but what I'd like to see is a roof over the thing.

I had a great restful weekend - but tension about the coming weeks is probably what kept me up late and woke me up early. I am probably going to crash around 5:30 tonight so let's hope the hours leading up to it are productive. Fingers crossed that I can get the bulk of the hard stuff done today - or at least get it in some sort of draft condition.

Good morning!

Quick check in for me as I need to prepare for my out of town meeting and head out by 6:30. The cold front is moving in with a little rain this morning. The high temperature all week long will be in the mid-70s so at least it feels appropriate to wear fall clothing instead of dealing with 90 degree weather.

I'm afraid I'll have to miss crossfit class this morning because even the 5 am class wouldn't give me enough time to get ready. Maybe I can get DH to walk with me after dinner tonight. I have a lean, pure protein lunch packed. That's going well.

Unbelievable Terri, about the underwriter rejecting the loan so late, but you have a great attitude. How was the race, Kellie? Looking forward to hearing all about it!

Sure hope all have a great Monday!
