Still with my family spent some time with my mother. We did go off to the apple orchards which are coming into season right now. Very Fall weather but no colors here yet in Northern Calif. did have a piece of fresh made pie. Then bought a blackberry pie to tske home. We ate light for breakfast and a healthy salad for dinner. Balance!!

I lost myself (in the book) most of the afternoon yesterday. My stomach snapped me back to reality when it was dinner time though, I broke away for a bit, then had a few more chapters for dessert. The way this is going I may have to renew my library card (I bought this book), to always have an escape on the weekends.
Happy Sunday teammates!

Welcome StrongDawg to this awesome group. We love to have new people join us.
Plans today are very quiet. I will go for a walk and maybe have a friend for dinner.....we will see. It is suppose to be nice again and by that I mean no rain so I want to enjoy the lovely fall days while I can.
Sunny glad you had a visit with your family. We don't get together very often as we all live in different cities across the country but when we do it is wonderful.
Toni, a paddle in your kayak sounds like a wonderful way to spend a Sunday.

Was a bit of a lump yesterday. Did get things done like picking up the house, dishes, paid the bills, etc. And watched my beloved SF Giants. emoticon Today is for the money. After the game I went to the gym and got my cardio in. Late in the afternoon, not my normal time, but I did it. emoticon

Today should be a morning visit to the gym with hubby. The house is being shown this afternoon so we will need to be away for a while then too. And next week Ö please let us hear about the house. emoticon

Nell ~ Yep. At the beginning of this we were working with another buyer on a backup offer but their offer was way too low. Not that this will help our current buyer move faster (I donít think it is his fault), but it would give us a better feeling if we had an agreed upon back up. emoticon

Kellie ~ And how did you like your Saturday of nothingness? emoticon Sounds like you are jumping back into it today.

Donna ~ Donít cramp up. emoticon

Sunny ~ What a great unplanned get together. emoticon

Phebess ~ Wish my time was flying by right now. emoticon

Maree ~ emoticon I love donating things that are in perfectly good condition that we just arenít using anymore.

Toni ~ emoticon for the thoughts. Have a great time kayaking.

StrongDawg ~ emoticon Iím a newbie here too. A little rain never hurt anyone.

My usual coffee and banana while I spark. Enjoy your Sunday!

Strongdawg! Good to see ya here! I'm a big fan of hers!

DALID, I read Girl On a Train a few months ago. Loved it! I saw the trailers for the movie, not sure I'll see it. When I read a book, I can gloss over uncomfortable scenes but on the big screen, hmmmm.

The scale is still my friend even though my activity level has been lower this week while my foot recuperates. But I have been aiming for 6 10-minute walks to get to an hour of cardio each day. I hit it most days. I may try a short run today. We'll see how it goes. The rain FINALLY stopped!

Second day active with this team. I really like it!

Also started Beck Pink re-boot. This time I will finish Beck. Third time's the charm, right?

My co-workers and I are marching in a HUGE parade today - rain or shine. We got rain.

Good morning!

Glad that Bess slew the conference Food Assault! Well done, well done. And I"m with Donna--gotta cross toes and fingers harder for Terri's home sale. I'm betting The Girl on the Train will take you right away from manuals and procedures, Dalid! I don't know what I would do without the world of books. An escape and a teacher too.

Sunny, how wonderful to reunite with siblings. Sounds very special and I hope you took some pictures!

We spent a lot of time socializing yesterday, sharing trip news with a friend who just got back from France and seeing good friends and neighbors over dinner to catch up. Not my most active day, in fact I took a nap in the afternoon. I think I was napping off the last of my jet lag.

Have a good Sunday, all. I hope to see the sun and get out on the lake with my kayak.

Toni

Good morning!

I slept a little better last night. I'm sure the extra carbs I consumed at the family gathering was a contributing factor, as I was not as successful as Bess in "just saying no" to a taste of this and that, topped off with sweets. I have a good stretch of no temptations coming up though.

Hope your headaches subside, Kellie.

As we unloaded the three boxes (from the barstools I just purchased), a male patron asked if he could take the big warm camouflage coat DH donated, and then began showing it off to his buddies. I set out 5 bundles of hangers (20 to a bundle) and patrons snatched them up. I think I donated over 100 items. It was heartwarming to know that others could use items that we haven't used/worn in years.

Today--church, and then DH and I will move the downstairs furniture back in place. And I will continue my work on closets and boxes.

DD sent picture of granddaughter at a Children's Festival in Norfolk yesterday--that's the neck of the woods of several here, isn't it? They're coming back today.

Hope all have a great Sunday!!
