Maree hope you are doing better.
Bess a birthday cake is hard to resist. Portion control is the best. How exciting to see the foundation go in. An artist’s workspace is never too big My DH started in one nice sized room, then we moved the bookcases out to the entryway to give him more space for his art work, then we had the closet in the next room redone with some shelves so he had more storage space for artist “stuff”.

Nell hope that the new janitorial service works out.

Kellie exercising at half time was a good choice.

Sue some friendships change away from us and some just get stronger.

The WW app sounds like a good deal.

Donna managing medical appointments can be really difficult. I really like the doctor’s office that send out texts.

Glad that you weather is good Toni and that your leg is coming along really well. You will be back soon.

Poindextra good that you have a diagnosis, now just to work on getting well.

I went off to the water aerobics class in a downpour this morning. It had been raining since Thursday and will continue to Wed. I haven't been doing much exercise but I know I needed to get back into the routine. There were a lot fewer people in the class, I am sure it is the rain. I have an ST session scheduled tomorrow and if the sun comes out plan to walk on Wednesday.

Hi team,

Congrats on the jeans, Nola. That's terrific!
Contrats on the portrait commissions, Bess!

I still didn't have enough energy to head to the office today, but I found out why: I've got Mono; who wudda thunk it! I don't remember having it as a kid, but the doc thinks it's more likely to be a reactivation than a new infection. He said people can get it as kids without knowing that its Mono, and that most people have had it before they're 20. The good news is that it's only transmitted by saliva, so if I don't share food or dishes with anyone (or kiss my hubby) I won't pass it on even if I'm still contagious. Also good news is that my throat and ears are a little bit better today, so I hope I've turned the corner on that front as well. I'm still waiting for the strep results, but that could take another day or 2.

The doc said no contact sports for 5-6 weeks (not a problem here:)), and that it could take 6 weeks to 6 months to get my full energy back. I will ease myself back into activity very gently and see how I feel. Right now this body still wants rest.

Good afternoon! Late today as we scooted away from the lake in a hurry to come back to our work lives up north. It is gorgeous in VA right now. I did two three milers this weekend and while I feel sort of ‘creaky’ rev’ing up those dormant muscles I can see my old moving self come back. The healing leg is doing just fine. Not perfect yet, but good.

Stay well or get well everyone. Spring is coming. Although, Donna, you finally got a dose of winter!

Once you hit goal you have to change to meetings. Maintain the weight for six weeks and then it becomes free. To keep it free you must weigh in once a month and stay within 2 pounds of goal. Every two months you have to enter a code with gives you an additional two months free.

Hi all, we had to get up very early today for a medical appointment at 8:00 a.m. We had snow yesterday so felt we should leave early just in case the roads might be a problem. We arrived st the doctors office only to find out the appointment is for March 4. Hmmmm.....not impressed. Now we have to go back to the same area for another appointment, I feel like we three our money away on parking and will now have to do it again in a few hours. Grrrrr....
Love the idea of getting rid of those size 16’s. Whoohoo!

Sue let us know how it goes with trackbites. I’ll check it out. I’m tired of the weigh ins. I’m a lifer so I don’t pay.

Morning, team!

We used to be invited to a Super Bowl party each year. It was sad to realize that this is the second year in a row we weren't invited. I don't even know if this family still has one, but I just grieve that over the decades hubby and I have just shifted away from them. I miss the tradition, but I don't miss THEM, if you know what I mean. I guess sometimes we just outgrow certain friends or feel we cannot make the same excuses in our hearts for them that we used to.

I found a new app yesterday that is going to allow me to stop paying almost $20 per month with the WW app. It's called itrackbites and it seems to be offering me everything the WW app did, except for the community, which quite honestly I never used much because I prefer to be involved here at Spark. I look forward to spending that $240 on something else, knowing that I can still stay the course with my vigilance as I enter WEEK TEN of my maintainance~

Hi all! I was rooting for the Rams, but they seemed have been a bit asleep last night. Not an exciting game. I wasn't a fan of the half time show either. Not that I turn my nose at rap music artists, I can appreciates bits of all genres, just didn't do anything for me.

The creater of the Charity Miles app I use, put out a half time challenge... choose either 100 burpees, jumping jacks or pushups with a 1-minute plank as extra credit. I chose the jumping jacks and I did the plank.

Phebess that is so cool about your show and the loveseat!

I hope everyone feels better very soon!

Good morning all.

I'm not happy New England won the game last night, but it was a good game. Another NFL season is over, two more weeks until Daytona and the start of the NACAR season.

Nola, get those size 16s to Goodwill! You don't need them, but someone else will be thrilled to be down to a 16.

It's going to be a warm few days before winter descends again. Long range forecasts say that we'll have a snowy February, but no more polar vortex cold.

The new janitorial service starts at the condo today following the firing of our long time janitor on Friday. I hope it works well.

Maree - I hope you find that perfect balance of exercise without exhaustion.
and Nola - woo hoo! from a 16 to a 6!!!! Congratulations. I agree with Maree, take a photo of you in the old ones and then give them away. How is your DH? I hope you're getting lots of riding time
Phebess - I guess your DH is my DH's twin. He won't take comfort meds either. And he LOVES to complain. Ah Peter Paul and Mary - sigh. so long ago. Leavn' on a jet plane, don't know when I'll be back again ....
Donna - oh planks. I know I need them. thanks for the reminder. And fear not - each time I think "wow - this is a Big Studio" and begin to question do I need all this space - I bite my tongue.
Warriorsue - yes. It's been a long time since I berated myself over tiny gains. The scale is actually a friend now and not just because it's complimentary. It's because I can accept the truth
Econlady - yeah - not much of a superbowl person. I talk too much. I am not invited. I don't care.
Poindextra - I sure hope you're feeling better
Kellie - that must be amazing, watching big ice floes break up. Savor these warmer days, eh?
Nell - We almost always post at the same time in the morning - so I'm thinking of you and hoping you have good things planned for this week.
Sunny - when is your eye surgery?
Toni - enjoying these balmy Virginia days?
Thinking of Jamirblaze in Disneyland.

Yesterday was a birthday party for a gf and I had cake. Yes! But just a tiny piece. And I got a commission to do two portraits - woo woo. Mighty excited about that. Today the bricklayers are coming to do the foundation for the studio. They're in a hurry to capture these few warm dry days. Rain is promised for the second half of the week, maybe only drizzle but definitely wet. And warm. But fear not - I bet there is at least one more snow storm up ahead for us. I began the Great Rake Project in my big, oddly shaped, tree ringed yard. One half of the front looks very tidy. Today I'll get the other half. my upper body workout for the day.

Good morning!

And here we are at the beginning of another work week-- except Jamirblaze, who is vacationing and hopefully enjoying every minute of it. Retirees/non-working can relate.

Poindextra, are you well enough to go into the office? I'm going to try it. I slept a good deal of the day yesterday after church. And, after reading your post, Phebess, I took some medicine. We have some labelled non-drowsy and some with drowsy warnings, so I was careful to choose the one that would help me sleep. Needless to say, I saw only limited segments of the Super Bowl and the commercials. I like the Clydesdales and puppy commercials, but didn't see any of those, except a replay of the yellow lab puppy who escapes his pen to hang out in the barn with a favored horse.

Did I miss anything good? Oh, congrats to Patriots fans.

Congrats on the new jeans, Nola! Get rid of those size 16s!! Take a picture of yourself swimming in them, if you like. After I reached my goal in 2011, I boxed up my "fat jeans" just in case, and kept them for awhile. I'm proud to say all of my skinny jeans fit now--I agree, it's a wonderful feeling!

The pants of the Calvin Klein suit I bought in early October have become baggy, so I had Macy's scan the tag and found a smaller size at a store near DD, so she picked up the smaller size on their Last Act rack for $20! Hope they fit!

Progress on the studio, Bess? Gorgeous weather to be outdoors, for sure. Sorry I missed it. Still mild today, but rain in the forecast.

Right now I feel well enough to go to crossfit class--may take it easy, though. Packing my lunch.

Hope all have a great day!!
