Susi it was in the upper 70's today but should be in the low 50's tomorrow. I don't know how to dress.
Will and Maria had to be at the hospital at 5:00 this morning. They finally took Maria in at about 8:00. They stitched her so hopefully that will help her hold the baby.
Poor Kellly. I feel bad for anyone who gets the shingles. Did she have the shot? I don't think the shot is perfect, but it may make for a lighter case of shingles.

Peggy congratulations on the loss. The hoagies sound yummy. I have some sausage, peppers and onions in the freezer, already cooked. I'll take them out for Sunday. Yum.

Jan I'm glad you finally got some time to create and relax. Too bad you still had errands to run. Do you think you'll get to relax tomorrow?

Jenn I'm glad your friend is back so you're off dog sitting duty. I hope the move goes smoothly and quickly for you.

Today was a long. busy one. We left for the Honor Flight at 8:00 this morning. The flight was over an hour late because they had to de-ice the wings. We didn't get back home until about 12:30. Once I got home, the engineers came up, cleaned the mess on my windows and put back all the screens. I started to move my tables, shelves and plants back into the balcony but didn't get everything done before we had to head back to the airport at 5:30. Since the flight was leaving late, the buses with the vets didn't get back until about 2 hours after they were due. Coming home, it was raining so hard, Maureen couldn't see the road and neither could I. It was an awful trip home but we finally made it. I just got in and now I'm going to have dinner and relax.

Sorry, everyone. I was just way too exhausted to post last night.

my friend is home from Seattle, so I am done with dogs. Good thing, too. I'm scheduled at Target tonight and there is no way I could have done both.

the move continues. It's going to take some time. And I'm still not convinced that all of the required systems, not including the HVAC, are in place yet.

4 hours at Target tonight. This should bet my last closing shift.

Evening everyone. I created this morning and went to the Senior Center at 1 for a Halloween party. Then stopped in at the Realtor office to sign paperwork and give them my key. Got gas then home and creating and watching scary creature movies.

Congratulations Peggy! That is awesome! :) The chili and the hoagies both sound good. I haven't made the hoagies for a while, may have to put that on my menu. :)

Happy Halloween

I went to WW's today and I lost 2.6 since I was at WW's on the 1st so I'm happy.

I know I was eating strangely when I was going over and sitting with Mary at the Hospice House.

It was nice to get back home to Florida and start eating normally. I made a big pot of WW chili for Saturday night and tonight we are having sausage and peppers and onions on hoagie rolls.

Everyone is either busy or snuggling in today. :)

Blondie, I do hope the weather was better there than it was here today. It's been chilly, windy and raining all day except for about a half hour. Miserable weather! I hope you all dressed warm and the Vet's did too. I feel bad for all of you if the weather wasn't good. How is Maria doing?

Jan, what did you get into today? I just did some exercises and took a nice nap. Greg was getting annoyed at the rain because it brought down a lot of leaves and he couldn't get out to work. He did go out when it stopped for about a half hour and clean up around the garage door. He's been wanting to build and older model firetruck and I knew he was bored so I copied one off for him to look over and maybe start tinkering with. He told me I was sneaky. I told him, no I'm just a loving wife. Hehe! He had to agree to that one. :) Kelly texted me and she has the shingles on her face and chin. :( She did get some pills and cream. I feel bad for her though.

Peggy how did your day go today? Has the weather been acting up there too? I was wondering how it may go with the Great day.

Hi Jenn! I sure hope today was easier at work than it was yesterday moving things around. Hang in there, it's almost finished. :)

Peggy, I'm glad you could visit with the sewing group. :) I'm sure it was nice catching up with them again. Good luck at WW today.

Blondie, her company must have a policy to only cover actual working days or something. Sure doesn't make sense though. I'm glad you got your Rummikub fix. :) You don't seem to play that as often as you did for a while. Never fails does it? You get nice clean windows but they aren't clean. I hope they take care of that soon. I wouldn't want to see a mess looking out the window all winter. This is the last Honor flight of the year right? Then in a few days you get treated to lunch? I was thinking I remembered that right, not sure though. LOL!

Good morning Jan! Yikes some of those temps on your radar map! I'm complaining cause our cold snap is coming tonight. For the next 2 weeks we'll be getting down to the 20's and low 30's every night and have a freeze warning for tonight. At least it isn't in the teens. I bet the kitties were snuggling last night! I hope you stayed warm.

Good morning Jenn! How is your temperature there? I didn't know if you were getting the cold yet or not. I know Iowa had a skift of snow the other day and supposed to get more today. Does their weather come your way? I hope you have a better day today.

Jan I won a whole $.35 at poker the other day. I added it to my travel fund. :-)

Jenn you have the patience of a saint. I would have blown my top with all you've been going through. I hope the ceiling gets fixed soon. I'm sorry you have to deal with not only your apartment, but with the job move as well.

Susi think Barbara's job would be happy they don't have to pay for a fight and hotel. They only need to pay for her gas and tolls so I don't know why the extra day here is a problem. Especially since the extra day is Sunday, not a working day.

Peggy I'm sure it was nice to visit with the sewing group, especially since you haven't seen them in a while.

I went with Maureen to AAA for directions and maps for her upcoming trip to visit her sisters in Alabama and Texas. When I came home, I found my windows were washed but there is a big blob of something. I went down to the office to tell them about it. Since I have an Honor Flight in the morning, when I come home, the engineer will check my windows and let the washers know about the mess. Tonight we played rummikub.

Peggy what did you do today after your walk and Bagel King?

Blondie, it's strange that they won't pay for just one day earlier. They would still be coming out on top. I guess some places are funny about those things. It was dreary all day here and a little while ago it let loose and started raining. Greg worked on the leaves earlier but was in for a change before the rain. Did they do your windows or did it rain there too?

Jan, sorry I missed your text yesterday. I've been getting a lot of weather alerts and they have the same sound, I need to change that. :) I was napping today after my workout and shower and never did check my texts till just a bit ago, sorry. *just changed the tone* :) I hope the kids can get to the doctor, they sure don't need to end up with pneumonia from being at the game. I bet the kitties are in Heaven with the heater on. :) I sure hope it doesn't freeze on you tonight.

Jenn, it sounds like the landlord is trying to mess you around. :( I have no idea how you're not blowing your temper at him yet. I wish I could be more like that. I guess they say things get worse before they get better, so I hope things start getting better now, because you sure have had your fill of the worst. :(

Equipment is in motion today. I have to keep telling them NOT to move certain items because we have active tests using those machines, and our climate control system is still in the old space.

Upstairs landlord has arranged for his latest "guy" to come next week Wednesday evening. He says the quote I sent him (which was actually all pain-and-suffering for me, because Sarge was going to work for free) was too high by over double, that workmen normally charge $35-40 per hour. But just a couple days ago he claimed that he had already paid $400 and $600 for "the first two repairs". Which as far as I'm aware means he paid the tenant whose toilet was leaking $400, or roughly 10 hours of work which is definitely extreme, and the plumber $600 "for repair of pipes only", which is up to 15 hours of work (no idea what portion of that might have been parts/equipment) and there is absolutely NO way the plumber was around for that long. So I think he's full of dung all around.

I definitely should not have moved into this place. But I didn't have much of a choice given the lack of savings for a new security deposit. This one only worked out because the landlord was willing to transfer funds from my old deposit, and he's still whining (but only intermittently now) about how much money it cost them to clean up after I was vacated and wasn't covered by the remainder of the original security. And I honestly don't see me getting enough money saved by the end of my current lease to relocate, especially with a dead air conditioner in my car that's going to cost over a grand to fix.

Jenn how much did you get moved today? I hope there are no bugs in the works when every thing is moved.

Peggy, enjoy Bagel King. How are the kids in New York? Looks like bad stuff head their way as well as toward Susi.

Blondie, companies are weird on what they will and will not pay. I hope it is good driving weather for her. What is on for today? By the way did you win at poker?

Susi I have the heater on in the bathroom and the kitties are laid out in the rug enjoying the heat. Did you get my text with the picture of the snowman cup from Dollar Tree? Erin and Tony day in the rain at the game last week and both under the weather. I'm nagging her to go to the doctor and not let it go too far.

It started raining last night and boy did it rain. It still is raining it is supposed to stop this afternoon and may hit freezing tonight. Oh joy.

Susi Barbara is going to be here on Monday. If she comes on Sunday, her job won't pay for her gas and tolls. I don't know why it matters since the job doesn't have to pay for a hotel.

Peggy we were posting at the same time. Enjoy your walk and Bagel King

It's a dreary day and looks like it's going to rain. They started washing the outside of the windows on Monday and I was hoping they'd get to mine today. With how the weather looks, I don't know if they'll even start on windows today.

Jenn, it's a lot of work moving things I bet. But it will be worth it. :) That landlord must have a mind problem. Seems like he doesn't want to find a way to work with you instead of against you. Stick to your plan! I think he's just pushing to be a pain! I would start thinking he's closer to a slumlord. He knows you can't take the day off work for that yet, he keeps it up. Geesh!

Blondie, yes, even extra prayers for Maria. I know you feel better too knowing Will is with her now and you know she isn't alone. After all the work you did at home, I know it had to be nice to go out to eat and relax and chat. :) It won't be long till Barbara comes to stay.

Peggy, was the Hooray for getting it over with or because you're excited about it? :)

Good morning Jan! I hope the kitties are on your lap again holding you down so you can relax. Hehe! Did you get a bunch of rain? I guess we're due for some snow before long, but I sure hope they were wrong. I'm so not ready for that!!! Of course I never am. LOL! I saw that Erin was having some chest problems, is she okay? That's one thing I can guarantee you don't mess with so I hope she goes to the doctor.

Peggy I agree with Jan. You had a winning day.

Jan I'm sure things will be less stressful for Maria and Will now that he's home and they're going to the doctor visits together.

Susi they can't stitch Maria until they're sure the infection is gone. If all goes well, they'll be stitching her on Thursday. Please send up extra prayers. :-)

Jenn I guess the upstairs landlord figures if he asks enough, you'll take the time off for his convenience. Make sure he pays for your day if you decide to stay home for the repair on his time.

I got all the cleaning done, took care of plants, got the rest of the laundry done and it's all put away. I got to relax for a while and then went out for 1/2 price hamburgers with Maureen and Judy. It was nice to sit and chat while we were eating.

The move is in earnest. We emptied out almost all of the drawers and cabinets today, although not quite everything has a new home just yet. We need to sit down together and decide where items should go so they're easily accessible for everyone, and we need to make labels. That took about half the day, and then we spent the afternoon working on tests.

This shouldn't be a surprise, but after agreeing to reimburse me, the upstairs landlord texted this morning asking if I'm free tomorrow AM. Uh. NO. I've repeatedly told both of them that I am out of vacation days (actually not true anymore, as yesterday was my anniversary date so that has reset, but I'm not willing to use them for this), so unless he's going to compensate me for lost wages, he has to work around my schedule. I took pictures of the hole to show Sarge, but couldn't find my tape measure to get a good sizing. I'm taking one home from work today so I can do that. Sarge is going to install buddy boards across the floor joists so he has something solid to screw the drywall into because of the idiotic way the hole was cut.

Blondie, I do hope you had time to relax today. I'm sure the chiropractor helped a lot. :) It's not easy keeping a place clean with a dog and cat. Hehe! No outfit is complete without hair on them. LOL! I always had trouble getting it off the furniture. I think even if Maria's infection does clear I would want the stitches just to be safe. I'm still lifting her up in prayer. My heart breaks for her and Will's worry. :( I'm so glad he's home now.

Peggy a good day for you all the way! :) It was nice of one of the ladies to bring you the yarn she doesn't want. :)

Jan, today I'm simply opening a can of roast beef hash for supper. We both like it and it's quick and easy. Hehe! Can you believe Greg didn't work outside, in fact hasn't even been out today. :) I went this morning and got the paper and he slept in till 9. :) I wish I could remember what fun was. LOL! Yep, Ralph and Alice have both been on the feeder. :) They are still going to the front porch too. Greg is still putting a handful of seed there for them also. LOL! Greg said the feeder is for meals and the porch is the snack. LOL! Spoiled he is! Thanks for the pine cone answer. :) That will help me sometime when I use them again. I use to make cone wreaths all the time. Even one with the mini cones and it was so cute. :)

Jenn, did you all start moving your things today at work? That would be a job in itself I suspect.

Peggy today is a fun day for you. You get a yummy bagel, don't have to cook and get yarn to boot. It is a win all the way around.

Blondie, I am sure praying that the antibiotic works. With Will home that will help with the stress and give her body a chance to heal better. I have laundry going her and changing out some decorations. I will craft today as I don't believe I will be going anywhere.

Susi, what is on the menu? I am making the sloppy Joes today. I had set a frozen pizza down yesterday and that was lunch and dinner. Anything fun to do coming up? Ralph utilizing the feeder yet?? Yes, baking the line cones fried them and they open back up.

Good morning all!! We're sneaking in an extra Bagel King after our walk and then it's bike, laundry and Hands in Motion this afternoon.

One of the ladies who cooks for herself is bringing us dinner so I don't have to cook today.

She is also bringing me extra skeins of yarn that she doesn't want.

Today is a fun day.

Jan it seems like they've been digging by you for a very long time. I hope they finish soon. With rain coming, I hope you don't have to go out and try to get across the mess they didn't tamp down.

Susi you're right, it feels great to be home. I'm going to the chiropractor but when I come home, I have cleaning and more laundry. I didn't clean too well before going to Maria's because I still had Roxy and Soos. Maybe I'll get to relax later this afternoon.

Maria went to the doctor yesterday and is still having problems. They think she still has an infection in her uterus and gave her more antibiotics. If the infection is clear by tomorrow, on Thursday, they want to stitch her so she doesn't go into early labor. She's not due to have an induced birth until Feb. 20 and that's still a long way to go.

Jan, does baking the pine cones make them stay open too? I always washed them out and have always had trouble with them closing up on my wreaths. That was probably fun for the kids to help pick them up. :) I do hope the heating pad is working. The boys know how to snuggle in and keep you relaxing. :) Ouch on the digging and the gully! :( That is really going to make a mess with the rain. Was sure nice of them to leave you a way out..duh.

Peggy I do hope everything is okay. I'll be praying your test comes through fine.

Jenn, the light at the end of the tunnel is getting brighter! :) I like the kind of people you work with! :) That sure is nice of him to do it for free and give you a receipt! :) I hope you can get compensated for all the trouble. The landlord is just going to have to suck it up! :)

Blondie, can you get in to the chiropractor today? I bet if felt good to be back home and the plus was with a relaxing game of poker. :) Maybe try to rest up today?

Well I now have a 3 foot deep gulley all across the road in front of my house. They knocked on the door and said we left a way out of your drive. Well, my Jeep was not very happy going in and out. I ran to the grocery store around the corner to grab a couple of things. The lady in the other side of the duplex drives a SUV but her daughter does not. I hope she can get out to go to work. Oh we have rain coming in and they did not get the dirt pressed down very well. I do not have to get out but if it rains and they can not work it is going to be a mess.

We're definitely in the final stretch on my new space. Owner is working to schedule the HVAC guy to come and capture coolant so the system can be disconnected and moved, hopefully the end of next week. Data lines are run and live, and phone lines are run but may not be ready to use yet. Air compressor for our pneumatic equipment is being installed today, the air lines are all in place. We've commandeered one of the outer offices for storage and already have racks set up in there waiting for loads. Owner said we can start moving things over whenever we want and that the office HVAC is adequate for short-term.

I talked to the guy that's been finishing up my space, and he's absolutely willing to come put up support boards and drywall for me. Better yet, he said he's going to do it for no charge and write me a receipt for whatever amount I want so I can get compensation for all of this crud. And the other landlord has said he's willing to reimburse me but asked for a quote first because "I've already spent $400 on the first repair and $600 on the second repair". And of course he had to pay the plumber. But if his own tenant is charging him to fix his leak??? Yikes.

We went to Bagel King after our walk and after lunch we had to go back to the heart dr. so that I could get an echo cardiogram. just testing who knows why.

Back to work on Great Day and tomorrow is Hands in Motion.

The boil alert was just until they finished the testing. They hooked into the county water which is different than ours I guess.

They are out there digging again. They are making so much noise today. Didn't stop the boys from napping though lol. I have been playing and enjoying myself. My Sunday School kids and I went out and picked up pinecones, today I baked them to kill any critters in them. That took most of the morning but oddly the house smelled nice. I'm taking a heating pad break and the boys have captured my lap so I may be down for awhile now.?

Susi you and Greg should take a ice cream run tomorrow, provided it isn't raining. We are to get rain starting tonight.

Hi Blondie! :)

Jan, of course Greg is working outside. It's chilly but not really cold. He does have a mask on and even boots since the ground is wet. :) I did my exercises today and a walk video, that was enough for me. I played for a while on FB and Pintrest. :) Only 1 piece of chicken left, Greg had a big appetite yesterday. LOL! He wants sloppy hamburgers today and I think Tater Tots would go great with them. The sloppy joes sure sound good too! Now I'm hankering for a Peanut Buster Parfait. LOL! Nothing like having a busy day then sleeping through a program. I do that a lot. LOL!

Peggy will the water be bad on your skin too? We've never had a boil alert here on our side of town at least. I don't really know about the rest of the town though. They do tell us when they are going to flush the hydrants ahead of time and check the water for residue before cooking or laundry, but I've never had that trouble either. Lucky I guess.

Jenn, I do hope you all got rested up. How bad was the work day?

HUGS!

Blondie, has in there. I am so glad Will is home bless his heart he will need several days to get his body adjusted to the time difference. How is Maria doing?

Peggy, I hate when you have to boil the water but at least you got notifications to boil. My Vernon was bad at issuing the boil your water too late. Bagel King day then what else did you do?

Jenn that just is dirty what they are doing to your mom. I hope something can be done to resolve it in your mom's favor.

Susi what are you and Greg doing today? Is Greg still wheezing? It is a dreary day here today and a little chilly. I think sloppy Joes today and probably the next 3 lol. You have leftovers or do you have to cook?

After church we went to the DQ. When I got home, feed the boys got in my pj 's out a video on and promptly fell asleep in my chair. Lol

Blondie, if I was a mother I would put my child ahead of me too. :) He needs his rest. I know you will be fine till you can get to the chiropractor. :) I'm sure it will take him a while to adjust, just in time for the time to change. :(

Peggy, thank you for the missions. I hope the boil time goes fast for you all.

Jan, the pix of the kids, they looked so intent on what they were doing. :) They looked like a great group! I knew the Pastor appreciation would go well. :) It sounds like everyone was in a hurry to go home to have the meeting cut that short. LOL! I'm glad you got to go out to lunch. How is Pastor's back doing now?

Jenn, I do believe dogs have an internal sense as to when they want to wake you up, usually way too early. :) I agree with you about your mom! They should pay her for the antibiotics and the un-do work for free. That is just wrong what they are tying to do. Probably because she's a senior they think they can get away with that. That makes me angry! :( You had quite a day, I sure hope you slept well.

The concert was good but ran later than we had planned for. Mini actually feel asleep on her dad's shoulder, so we bailed out and went back to my friends house to sleep. I knew that getting out of bed early enough to get to her house to let dogs outside before church was going to be a challenge if we slept in our own beds. Unfortunately, I didn't think about the fact that they would wake me up way earlier than I wanted.....

A after church, we came home and got changed, vegged out for a few hours ( Mini might have taken a nap, and I considered it), and then went to my mother's house for a bit. Mom has been undergoing some heavy duty dental reconstruction since about March, the implant anchors still aren't healing so she still doesn't have the crown work. The dental surgeon has been fired, and the clinic wants to basically start completely over on Mom's mouth, crediting her what's been paid so far, but charging her to undo the damage. And apparently no sort of compensation for 7 months of not being able to eat, several rounds of antibiotics that never should have been needed, etc. And she wanted to talk about this in person to get my thoughts on how to proceed. I suggested that she at least consult with an attorney on a possible medical malpractice claim, because I think that they are trying to bury the surgeons incompetence and steamroll mom into an inadequate settlement.

Then back to AJ's for doggy dinners, and finally dinner of our own. Now I'm home and getting ready to sleep in my own bed.

October Zone 5 Missions and November Zone 1

Zone 5 Mission #1 Monday

Dear Friends,Today I want you to spend 15 minutes getting rid of anything that does not belong in your living room. Things that have gotten thrown in a corner, on a chair, or even the floor. The things that you almost don't even see because they have just become part of the room, get it out! If it does not belong there then out it goes! This does not mean that you have to spend three hours in your living room, do what you can do for 15 minutes.

Zone 5 Mission #2 Tuesday

Dear Friends,We are ready to go diving! You are to go Sofa and Chair diving! This means to throw off those cushions and dig out all of the things that have been swallowed up by the sofas and chairs. In our house we always seem to find that elusive sock that we swear the dryer ate. There have also been a few cheerios, candy wrappers and popsicle sticks found deep in those areas too! If you are feeling REALLY adventurous you can go diving under the sofas and chairs also. Grab a trash bag and start diving!

Zone 5 Mission #3 Wednesday

Dear Friends,Let's have a Fire Drill. You know the piles that I am talking about. The ones that just grow and grow! Put that fire out! Take 15 minutes and put things away where they belong and toss the rest.

Zone 5: Mission #4 Thursday

Dear Friends,We are heading into the Holiday Season and for those that are celebrating this month we need to prepare the Living Room or Family Room depending on what you have for Holiday Decorations. For today put out the fires that are burning in your hotspots and flat surfaces. Put away what needs to be put away and toss what needs to be tossed. Set your timer for 15 minutes and GO! You can do anything for 15 minutes.

Zone 1 Mission #1 Friday

Dear Friends,Today is only day in Zone 1, the Front Entrance, Porch and Dining Room. For today's mission just spend 15 minutes in the entrance way of your home. Grab all the mail, shoes and jackets and put them away. I am always so surprised at how much stuff seems to accumulate in that one area! This is one area that when you tackle it and you are finished that you feel such a huge accomplishment because it is what you see first as you come through the door!

Church was good. The kids were so good in Sunday school this morning and we went out to pick up line cones. We have several large ok e trees and it is the battle of the line cones every year. Pastor appreciation went great with the love offering. We had a short board meeting of only an hour instead of 3 or 4. LOL Went with Pastor and Teresa to Whataburger for lunch. About to head back for Praise teN practice here in a minute.

Blondie, I did get through to him. He knows when I get upset enough to kind of yell at him that it's for a good reason. :) He's happily watching his race right now. :) He did go out today for a while, but no rain, and he had a mask on. :) He actually asked me if I minded. :) I hope you can get into the chiropractor quickly tomorrow. You've probably been carrying too much around, which is understandable. :)

Peggy, I saw that post on FB. I'm sure glad they got it fixed. Those boil alerts are a pain but so worth it. Good luck with that. I was just trying to get you to an extra bagel. Hehe!

Jan, how was church today? I know this is another really busy day for you. I hope you could find time to go out to lunch. I did the cleaning and took a nap. :)

Jenn, how did today go for you?

We got home from Church and Publix, put the water in the coffeepot to make our coffee and Jerry went to rinse something out and there was no more water.

Susi we never go to Bagel King after Church.

Something happened at the water plant and they got it fixed but now we have a boil water alert for 48 hours.

I've got pork and sauerkraut in the crockpot so supper is on it's way.

Have a great day.

Jan, I'm really tempted to get that duct tape. I told him last night that if he gets sick and has to go to the hospital I wouldn't be running out there all the time visiting with him. This time I meant it. He knew I was really upset, but the rest of the night went well, we're good. :) We always are. :) BBQ chicken in the crockpot for the race today.

Jenn, I'm glad you were able to get to the grocery between the rain drops. How was the concert? I'm so glad you were able to get a table. :) It would be really hard being sore and having to stand for a long time. I hope you got some good sleep.

Blondie, I'm so glad Will is home safe and sound now and with Maria and you. :) I do hope he can get some sleep, that would have to be so hard on him. I know when Greg was on Guam he said it seemed like 2 days getting home. :( Will you stay a few more days to help out till he gets rested?

Peggy, Bagel King or rolls after church today? :)

The rain has been awful today. It started a little before noon and doesn't look like it'll break untill 3 or 4 am. I did get basic grocery shopping handled, though.

We're at the bar for the concert amd managed to snag an actual table. So we're staying put cause we're all kinda sore. Even my sister came out with us, because she needed a break from her unpacking.

Okay ladies, send the It's been raining all day, it stopped just a bit ago, dimwit went out to blow, mask, hat, raining again, didn't come in, can't hear me over the blower, blowing in the rain, was having wheezing this morning. I think I need to have him committed! Geesh! :(

Peggy, I bet it felt good having a little change of scenery this morning on your walk. :) You made me think about the pill carousel I have that I bought for dad. Hmm? Maybe I should use that instead of doing pills every week. :) Thanks! :)

Jan, yep it would be worse but a mask won't stop pnuemonia! GRRRRR! I know there are a lot of leaves that fell especially with the wind and rain, but it's not worth ending up in the hospital for, and you can bet he is going to see my bad side when he gets it rear back in here. I don't usually tell him what to do but when I do he knows I mean business! Sorry for the grouch session. I need one of your kitties to pet. :)

Blondie, Did Benny get Maria's work area upstairs for her? I know you've been busy and I'm sorry I texted you when I did. I just needed to make sure. :) You know me. LOL!

Jenn, how did your concert go? I sure hope you aren't getting this rain and have to get out in it to go.

Peggy it was nice to be still for a change but time to clean. Lol Good for you adding to your morning walk.

Susi it is just that time of year when things are dying and the decay starts. That is worst on folks than the pollen. It would be worse if he did not wear the mask.

Good morning another busy day here but it is all at home. Well first we took our walk and we even added in the three cul de sac that we never walk.

I did two loads of laundry, fixed the pills in for 4 weeks, made broccoli slaw and chicken so Jerry would have something for lunch.

I'm so glad Will is coming home. I hope he can stay at least until the baby is born.

Jan I bet it's nice to lay down with the kitties.

Peggy, I'm glad you made it home safe and sound. :) Bagel King tasted delicious I'm sure. :) You needed that relaxation last night after all you did. :)

Jan, your kitties know when you need a good rest. :) I'm proud of them for keeping you down for a bit. :) I hope the rain stopped for the game last night. Ours is supposed to get it today. Greg's up and wheezing now. :( I told him to do the nebulizer that will help. He was wearing a mask when he's been out blowing. *sigh*

Blondie, I'm so happy Will is coming home!!! :) Who ever said there was no such thing as time travel?? LOL! I know you will be so happy when he walks in the door and I sure know Maria will too! She needs him there with her. I hope she did okay last night.

Peggy I know you were ready for your Bagel King. As always you hit the ground running.

Susi I did end up not doing a great amount today. The kitties believe I am to do nothing but be still and let them sleep in my lap. It is still a light rain coming down. I feel sorry for my kids as it is game night and they will be there.

Blondie we are praying for Maria and also for Will to get a land job. No she certainly does not need to be alone at home.

Well I'm back in the swing of things.

We went to Bagel King, came home, got ready and went for our visits to the heart Dr. Then Jerry dropped me off at the Woman's Club for a Trustees meeting and my friend Stacy dropped me off home and I got in the car and went to get my hair cut.

Now I'm just relaxing.

I hope everyone has a great day.

Blondie, that's only part of not getting another pet for me. Too hard worrying about them all the time. Finding a place we could take them with us cause we have no one to watch them. Being too sad when something happens and the list goes on. :( Greg said someone visited the feeder but he didn't see who it was. He just saw the pieces that had been opened. :) Hopefully it was Ralph and Alice. :) I'm sorry to hear Maria had to go to the ER. :( I am so glad she is okay. I hope the Red Cross can get Will home and he can find a job there. Greg said calling them is the only way to get him state side. I'm praying for that too.

Jenn, that is awesome that things are moving forward again! Hopefully soon it will be all finished! It sure has been a long time! Awww! Puppy therapy is the best in the world! :) There's nothing like sitting down with one, two or even three there to pet and love on. Lowers the BP and puts a smile in your heart! :) Good idea using up that sick time! :) Enjoy the concert!

Jan, I hope you are doing okay today. Are you resting up for the big Sunday you have coming up again? Today I cashed that insurance check I got and put it in our safe. I feel better doing that, I didn't want to mess up and let the time on it run out. This way when we hear how much we have to give to Recovery I can just put it in checking and write it out. :) Greg has been so tired lately and sleeping a good bit. I think it's from the weather. Doc said his heart and lungs sound fine so I don't think anything's wrong. He's been sleeping 9 to 10 hours a night, that would be on the bucket list for me. LOL!

Peggy, did you make it home okay?

It is a day of chasing chickens and I fear they are winning lol. I did finally get my fall garland done and up over my front windows. Bed stripped and laundered, not back on the bed yet. I’m waiting for the boys to take a nap so I will not have their help. I want the bedroom cleaned and bathroom done today. Tomorrow will be living room and kitchen getting cleaned and begin putting up the craft things and only leave out only what I need to work on next. It is time to get done so I can eat off my dining table again lol.

Blondie you were stuck at home seeing to others needs and not getting to go and do much. You deserve to enjoy and do what you want to do.

Susi the rain coming in will help to wash the human scent off the feeder and then they will get use to it quickly. What all did you two do today?

Peggy are you home yet?

Jenn how are you holding up????

Fri-yay!!!!

We've started moving equipment to the new space, and we've commandeered one of the windowless offices for storage. I think the electrical inside the actual lab is all in place, but I don't know about data lines. And I know we don't have all of our electrical or the deionized water line for the bigger pieces of equipment that will be in our "outer lab" yet. The climate controls are moving next weekend, I think. So it's finally happening.

I'm dog-sitting for my friend and former coworker who had the stroke 2 years ago. She and her husband are flying to Seattle for her brother's wedding. I could definitely use some puppy therapy :). She has three Cardigan Welsh corgis, two of whom are litter-mates. The third is their aunt if I remember the lineage correctly. AJ breeds them periodically.

4 hours at Target tomorrow, but I think I'm going to call in sick to use up the last of my accrued sick time. And then we're going to a concert by our favorite tribute band tomorrow night.

Jan I'm out a lot so having a pet wouldn't be fair to them. They'd need me home to keep them company.

Susi I'll be sure to give Maria a hug from you.
I hope Ralph, Alice and some of their friends visit the feeder soon.

Maria didn't feel well during the night so we went to the emergency room. Thankfully everything is fine right now. Since it's important for Maria to have someone around, Will may be coming home soon. He had Maria calk the Red Cross to tell them what's going on. He's waiting for his itinerary so he can let us know when he'll be here. Hopefully he'll get a permanent job on land.

Jan, I don't think the feeder has been visited yet. Sometimes it takes them a few days to get use to something new like that. :) Hopefully soon though. :) That will definitely make Greg's day. :) I do hope the church doesn't have to end up selling. I hope there is a clause that they will be responsible for any damage if and when they move out. Of course that doesn't always mean anything I guess. :(

Blondie, I know you will be busy helping Maria and Benny this weekend but hopefully the two of you can have a little fun too. :) Can you give her a gentle hug from me?

Peggy, do you get home today? I do hope you have a good trip.

Good morning Jenn! I'm sure you're happy it's Friday. Do you have Target this weekend?

HUGS!

Susi Greg did a great job on the feeder. Has it been visited yet? It was a positive meeting with the realtor and I will present the paperwork to the board on Sunday at our meeting. The church is hoping to not sell if we can keep from it. So we will see.

Blondie I couldn’t be without a pet. They are just too much comfort and companionship to me. Of course I don’t travel much like you do either. Then it would be a problem.

Susi I guess it was just a matter of time before Greg built something for Ralph and Alice. The feeder looks great. I bet it's easier on Greg's Catering Service than opening sunflower seeds. LOL

Jan, doc said my scan looked really good. :) I do have some wheezing in there so he got me prednisone and a zpack to ward it off before it got too bad. :) I didn't even know I was wheezing so he really caught it early. :) Greg is really good too. :) He said everything sounded clear and I asked something... for him to remind Greg how important it was to use a mask working outside especially this time of year. Hehe! He did. LOL! I hope the insurance changes weren't yucky ones. So they are going to rent it out again? I was thinking maybe they would end up selling it this time after what happened the last time. Good luck. Chili is good in this kind of weather. :) Had that earlier this week and tonight we finish up the soup beans. :)

Blondie, I sure understand you not wanting to adopt another pet. I would love to have another dog but my heart just couldn't take it. :( You can enjoy the kids pets. :) Greg has Ralph and Alice and that works for us. Hehe! He filled the feeder he made today. I did get a pix of it earlier. :) I'll post it at the bottom here. :)

Peggy, I hope today's trip was another good one.

Jan, yes, I'll miss the critters when they go home, but not enough to adopt another one. :-)

Jenn may today be a better day for you. Are you working Target tonight?

Peggy prayers of safe travel on your last leg home.

Blondie, I am so glad you are going to Maria's and Benny is coming to move her desk upstairs. Stair would be so bad for her right now. Have you heard from Will? He must be worried sick. Are you going to miss the critters when they go home?

Susi what did the doctor say about you and Greg? Sounds like you will be getting the rain we are getting here tonight and tomorrow. Greg will have to find an indoor project to keep him occupied.

Meeting with my insurance lady at 10 to review the changes coming up in 2020. At 1 I am meeting with a realtor at the Personage to have them handle the rental of it. I am thinking chili might be nice with the cooler temperatures and rain coming in.

Blondie, I think you said she couldn't fly but I didn't know if she tried to drive or not. I thought maybe since you still had the pets. It's nice you will be staying with her a few days. :) I'm so glad her brother is going to move her desk, that will be so helpful to her! Thank you for straightening that up for me. :)

Susi I don't know if I mentioned it because I was more worried about the baby, but Maria wasn't allowed to travel. Even though it's a non-refundable ticket, the airline gave her a credit she can use so the money is not entirely lost.

Roxy has been for her walk and I've started to pack a few things. I'm going to stay wit Maria for a few days. Over the weekend, Maria's brother, Benny is going to move her desk from the basement to the first floor. Maria works from home. The doctor doesn't want Maria going up and down stairs too often and since there is no bathroom in the basement, having her work space on the first floor will make things easier for her. I'll be helping Benny and I'll be making taco lasagna.
Meanwhile, today they're coming to wash the inside of my windows and fix the blind in my balcony. Next week they start washing the outside of the windows.

Blondie, I do understand that! I'm not dressed or anything at all till I've had about 4 cups of coffee. LOL! Have you heard from Maria? I was wondering too if she went alone this time. I go to the lung doc this morning at 10 for my check up and the results of my scan. Greg's appointment is kind of with mine, right after me. He goes back with me and Dr. Bruce just does us both. :) Makes it easier on all of us. :)

Jenn, it's so hard when you get a new computer and have to learn everything all over again Not to mention finding all the sights you need and putting your password back in and everything else. :( Do you have earplugs you can wear when it gets noisy in there? Hopefully today will be much better for you.

Peggy, I'm glad you had a much better drive this time. :) It's great you could relax with the special when you got there. I love that you are doing the search for the Staunton manager. :) She will be very happy and surprised what all you can find. :)

Jan, how is today looking for you? I'm worried about my results, of course I always do. It's supposed to get to 69 today, sounds about perfect. Greg won't be happy on Saturday though we have a 100% chance of rain He won't be going out doing leaves then. Did you get all your projects finished?

We made it to Savannah!!! It's nice to be in our room for the day. The drive was much better. No rain.

We're just going down to the managers special

I am working on the genealogy of the manager of the Staunton hotel.

She's excited with the newspaper articles I found already.

Today has been a mess so far. New computer at work, with Windows 10 and new versions of all the software I've been using. So all of my shortcuts, pins, history etc are all gone. And new menus and graphics are really slowing me down. Then my printer wasn't working but that's just been fixed. Plus there's a big noisy something or other on the vibration table that's got me really on edge.

Jan congratulations on all of your winnings at bingo. That was very nice of you to let someone else have one of your prizes.

Susi I don't think I'd be able to fill and take a travel mug when I walk Roxie. Before coffee, I'm lucky I'm dressed, have shoes on and have my key. LOL

Thank you Blondie. :) My prayer warriors are coming through for her. :) Probably if there wasn't another cat to play with they would pick on the dogs. LOL! Most of them will just walk up to a dog and smack them just to get something going. Hehe! Do you have a travel mug? You could use that for your coffee and just take it on your walks with you. I know I would sure be doing that or they could wait on me. Hehe!

Jan, congratulations on the bingo wins! :) Sounds like nice gifts to me! It was nice of you to let that lady get something. :) Dad, when they played bingo, if he won much and someone close didn't he would give them his quarters. :) That's what they played for. :) Yep, Greg worked outside today. I put soup beans in the crockpot this morning and they've been stinking all day, I'm about starved. I'll make some good old cornbread to go with it for supper tonight. :)

Peggy, I hope you had a good trip.

Morning all. Bingo was so much fun as I won 4 times. I never win when I play. I got a wonderful clock and a Pioneer Woman soup cup with lid and a bag of Chex mix. The other time I let a lady at the next table who had not won go and get something.

Jenn as a renter, you shouldn't be doing all the work and worrying about getting the hole in your ceiling fixed. That should be up to your landlord. He should be the one dealing with the landlord upstairs. I hope your apartment and lab get finished soon.

Susi I don't mind who you ask to pray for Maria. The more prayers the better as far as I'm concerned.
Neither Soos or Kitkat pick on Roxy which is pretty good. Diane's cats, Binx and Shiro don't pick on Brody. Maybe the cats don't pick on the dogs because they have another cat to play with.

Peggy I hope you have a good trip today.

Roxy and I are back from our walk. I don't know how many more days I can take, going for a walk before my coffee. LOL

Peggy, I'm glad you made it there safely, have a safe trip today! Congratulations to Adin for passing his test. Yes, that is excessive! Even the $90 is too. Then again, I'm old. LOL! I think mine was around $30 and I thought that was too much at the time. LOL!

Blondie, you are very welcome! I hope you don't mind, but I put it on facebook this morning I have a lot of prayer warriors on there. I don't think I've ever known a cat that wouldn't pick a fight with a dog now and then. LOL!

Jenn, I know you'll be so happy when the lab is completely finished! :) You all may want to have a celebration party when it is. :) I hope one of the guys can fix your ceiling. If it's the one who worked on the lab, I sure hope it isn't the one who took forever. You've been waiting long enough. I think you should pad that bill a little for pain and suffering! :)

Jan, what will you get into today? Did you get any of those tornadoes close to you that hit Northern Texas? I was worrying about that. Greg was out blowing leaves again yesterday after he told me he was taking the day off. LOL! I didn't think he would rest all day. And the wind was blowing too. I don't get it but he says even if he only gets a few that's a few less he'll have to get the next time. Hehe!
