I just started scrambling 3 egg whites and 1 whole egg and seasoning it and/or adding veggies. Then I put that in a high protein wrap. It keeps me full until around 10:00 when I have an orange.

My other meal is 1 1/2 servings of cereal with 3/4 cup of 1% milk and wheat light muffin & PB.

I hate oatmeal, because of the texture. DH has tried to make it different ways for me but to no avail. But I hear steel oats is the way to go for healthy eating. Less processing then oatmeal and microwave oatmeal.

Hi I usually have oatmeal or eggs whites. The protein is very important to make you feel full and satisfied for most of the morning. Cutting up some veggies the night before is a perfest idea! And oatmeal comes in a 1 minute variety now...so quick! I usually have fruit and toast too! I know it may seem like a lot but you need to refuel your body after fasting all night. And you have all day to burn it off! It's so funny because a year ago I never ate breakfast and now I can't do without it! emoticon

No toast... I haven't found a good GF bread yet emoticon

But yeah, I've been thinking I need to get some veggies chopped up & stashed in the fridge so I can make more of an omlette... (I know I won't chop them in the morning - not awake enough to ensure there wouldn't be fingertips in the chopped veggies emoticon )

NJORDGAL, I don't think there's anything unhealthy in that. Some veggies scrambled with the eggs or whole grain toast might round it out, but what you had was pretty healthy. I love eggs, and not being crabby is the most important thing!

I've been trying to rework my breakfasts to include more protein, less sugar, and still be GF. This morning I had a couple of scrambled eggs (just eggs & a little butter) with some hot sauce. Still not stellar health wise, but it's 10 am and I'm not hungry or crabby, so I'll take it :)

I mix 4 ozs. of Greek flavored yogurt, 1/2 a banana and 1/2 a serving of Kashi cereal (Cinnamon Harvest is my favorite). It addds up to about 350 calories and keeps me full for about 3 hours.

Eggs or egg substitute with some wheat toast and sauteed veggies always keeps me full for a couple hours.

Some of my other favorites are Weight Control oatmeal made with soymilk with either a banana or raisins. Also, an egg on whole wheat english muffin topped with reduced-fat mexican cheese. My fallback is Special K protein cereal with either a banana or dried cranberries.

I try to have a high fiber or whole grain cereal with skim milk and fruit or a yogurt. I also like egg beaters, whole wheat toast, potatoes o'brien fried with cooking spray instead of oil. Canadian bacon or center cut bacon is also a fav. Oatmeal is really filling so I tend not to have anything with it.

Breakfast for me is usually an iced coffee or frappuccino. Many times I'll grab an egg wrap, or a frozen meal...the "lunch" ones. I really like tacos in the morning and pasta. Weird, I know, but it is what it is.

My mornings are usually pretty rushed for time, and I'm GF so my breakfast options are pretty limited.

Lately I've been grabbing a Larabar - nuts & dates - for breakfast. It gets me through to around 10:30, when I have a snack of trail mix or GF crackers. I'm trying to do the 5 small meals routine, but it doesn't quite work with my schedule...

A lot of forums talk about what people eat for dinner, but I'm wondering what people eat for breakfast and does it keep you satisfied in the morning?

Today I had a Fiber One 100% Whole Wheat English Muffin topped with two tablespoons peanut butter and a 1/4 cup trail mix. I also had a Fiber One strawberry yogurt (4 oz). Yummy!
