Besides what everyone else has said, I also definately recommend mesuring your food, either with a scale or a mesuring cup. You don't have to do forever, but measuring for at least a week can be a great reality check on your portion size. I did it when I first started with Spark and I found even though I was trying to be totally honest with my food logging, I wasn't always being accurate because I didn't really know what a cup of food looked like.

Thanks!! I do think part of my problem was not eating enough for a lil while. I think I might need to invest in a monitor cause I have suspected that maybe I am burning more and therefore need to eat more. I'm trying to make sure to eat more on those days I have larger workouts. Im going to be really good about calorie counting and see if that makes a difference.

Just to back track a little, started P90x 11/7 I have been working out almost everyday since only a couple days to rest and recover the past few days I have done
11/18 YogaX
11/19 no workout
11/20 P90x Core synergistic & turbo jam
11/21 getting ready to do p90x kenpo
Weight loss on the scale has slowed down a little but the inches has increased so i'm trying not to get discouraged plus there is a lot of weight training involved in P90X exercises. So i'm thinking about hiding the scale for awhile. I can see a change in my body even though the scale has only move a little since my last weigh in. Goodluck to everyone!
Will take your advice about adding a snack maybe I think I will monitor my calories more carefully.

Okay. Are you also tracking your exercise? If you exercise you should eat more. If you exercise a lot and then don't up your caloric intake you can get stuck. Also, a heart rate monitor with a chest strap will give you the most accurate calorie burn count. If you are relying on the cardio machines then you are probably off. When I use my HRM it might say 600 and the machine will over estimate by anywhere from 200 to 400 calories. No joke. It is different for everyone. That is why some people find success instantly and others have to struggle to lose every single pound. Find what works for you. Play with the numbers a bit. Just make sure you don't go under the magic number of 1200 calories eaten. Good luck. Don't get discouraged.

Try a new work out routine. Your body gets used to the same one and it isn't as effective after a while. I use Jillian Michaels DVD's and have had great results and you can change them to the next step constantly. Good luck. I know how tough this can be. Set an easy goal and treat for yourself and that makes it more motivating also. Like if you lose 5 pounds you can buy a new outfit or something you enjoy.

I was having the same problem. I started to track what I ate and found I was eating enough. I talked with my
personal trainer and he suggested that I have a snack mid morning and mid afternoon besides the 3 meals a day. Also drinking water very important. Since I have been doing this and exercise I have consistently loosing weight. Don't be discouraged. Just take one day at a time. If you need any help or encouragement stop by my page anytime.

Do you count your calories? That would be my first point - to check what the spark recommended ranges are and stick to them. Make sure you account for EVERYTHING, drinks, snacks, oils, etc. also, check your portion sizes, try weighing out your meals and see if they are what they should be. When I started out my portions were much larger than they are now. If you are definitely in the 1200 - 1600 calorie range EVERY day you should see results over 7 weeks. Exercise is that extra 20% to help with your weight loss, but you have to make sure the calories tally first. If you know your calories are as they should be and still you don't lose over a monthly period, then I think its time to go back to the doctor.
Stop by my page any time if you ever want any help/advice and I'll do my best to help you out!

I've been working out and watching my diet for more then 7wks and no changes w/ weight or measurements. I've had my thyroid tested so I know its not that. DH needed to go out of town last week so I decided to take a week off from working out and my diet and just not stress out about it. What do I get in a weeks time? A 3 lb weight gain. REALLY? Sheesh, I back working out and watching my diet but I'm having a hard time keeping motivated. All this effort w/ lil results and now I have an extra 3lbs to lose. :(
